Everyone AU - Meet the Team!
Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Madame Bug
As Madame Bug, Marinette can use her miraculous to swing around via yo-yos and has a Sixth Sense ability. This allows her to look around while in battle to see what can help her and her teammates.
This Marinette has a lot more confidence in herself thanks to being childhood besties with Kim, Nino & Alya. Also, since Chloe's become a lot nicer since she was a little kid and never bullied Marinette, she didn't have as many self-esteem issues.
She has a tendency to be the one to give pump up speeches for the others. Regardless, she hates that some Parisians see her as the leader, as she doesn't want to be seen as higher than her friends and romantic partners.
Marinette wants to be part of the counterculture fashion movement, and is working on streetwear and street couture in comparison to the more generic stuff of canon.
Does have the tendency to spiral and panic if things aren't going to plan.
Chat Noir is the cheshire-grinning rapid hitter of the team. He's also kinda a living nuke, in that his Cataclysm allows him to destroy whatever he touches. It's for this reason that he has to be incredibly careful in using his Miraculous power, as he doesn't want any innocent bystanders to get in the way of the Akuma.
This Adrien isn't as sheltered, as Emilie put her foot down and had him put in school at an early age. She also made sure he wouldn't be a model, but Gabriel does have him be an "influencer" for the brand instead.
He's the Golden Retriever of the Quad Squad (Marinette x Adrien x Luka x Kagami) and of the platonic Core Four (Marinette, Adrien, Nino & Alya). Always wants to see the best in people, believes kindness is the real punk rock.
Absolutely suspects that his dad is The Collector, due to how secretive the man is, how seemingly disappears into a hidden room for "business", and how the Collector has targeted friends of his in Mendeleiev, Grotke & Winters' classes as well as rivals of Gabriel's in the fashion industry. He's working with the others in finding a way to expose his dad and get him taken to jail.
Has the tendency to act the most like an animal out of all the heroes. He does sometimes meow as it's a vocal stim.
Alya uses her Miraculous power to spread misinformation to criminals and brainwashed pawns of The Collector. This is pretty ironic, since she's a journalist. Rena Rouge will also use illusions to distract Akumas so that Parisians can escape. In lighter occasions, she uses her illusions to entertain people.
She's less focused on superhero news (since she already is one) and more focused on current events and being a voice for the common Parisian. She actually uses Rena Rouge to spread support for the freedom of the press.
Her little sisters think that Rena is a buzzkill since she's somehow always around to stop them from getting into trouble. In contrast, Nora feels protective of the hero, but doesn't know why.
Alya and Marinette are not only besties, but baking buddies as well. They often help cook meals for the team, with Alya doing the savory stuff and Marinette doing the sweet stuff.
One issue with Alya is that she can be very prideful, and while she'll admit when she's wrong, it's often while still trying to find some tiny bit of righteousness.
One of the best defensive heroes of the squad. Carapace can summon shields to defend his teammates, civilians and himself from attacks. He can pack a punch as well, throwing his shield Captain America style.
Nino's a fun-lovin', sociable ball of charisma who sees life as one big movie that he's glad to be part of. Becoming a superhero with his classmates/friends has only boosted his self esteem.
Nino is always trying to get his name out into the entertainment industry, whether it be through directing home movies or promoting his SoundCloud. He knows the reputation of the platform, but dammit he'll make it respectable with his beats!
He does have some insecurities, always worrying that he'll let his girlfriend or the others down, that his younger brother will resent him when he gets older, and that he's never able to save everyone. It's at times like this when he listens to some tunes or soothing sounds.
Do NOT take his hat or headphones. He needs them to feel comfortable in his body. If he takes off his cap, it means he trusts you with his life.
Chloe Bourgeois/Queen Bee
Queen Bee uses her top as a stinger, allowing her to immobilize bad guys, allowing her teammates easier targets. She's the social media darling of the group, a lot more lavish than most of the squad. She's the one most likely to show up at fancy events.
The difference here is that Chloe got to know her half-sibling at a much younger age. As a result, she grew out of most of her bratty behavior by the time she became a preteen.
Don't think that she's too sweet, though. Chloe can still be quite haughty and her ego needs to be taken down a peg every now and then.
Some people such as Alix, Alya & Kim like to rag on her for being snooty, just to see her reaction. She herself has a sort of rivalry with Felix with them sometimes clashing over petty things.
Gets snippy with Marinette anytime it feels like she's acting too much like she's the leader. Still, she's a true friend to the group.
Bunnyx can jump incredibly high, has super hearing and smell, and can use her umbrella to create portals in time. Her hopping about the place causes irritation to akumas.
Alix is a stubborn tomboy, loving to zip around on her rollerskates or spray-paint graffiti. She'll do anything to prove she isn't a chicken, which can result in her eagerly accepting any stupid dare by Kim.
While she puts on an air of being too cool for school, Alix is really into history (as is most of her family), but is afraid of being seen as too nerdy.
Alix has a soft side that she rarely likes to show. She's afraid it'll ruin her "reputation".
She has used her time travel abilities to mess with people, because she finds it hilarious.
King Monkey is an incredibly acrobatic fighter, flipping and climbing all over the place. He can use the power of Uproar to temporarily allow an akuma's abilities to malfuction. He & Chat Noir often crack wise on bad guys while they fight. He's the one who often tells kids to eat their vegetables and try their best to exercise.
Kim may look like your stereotypical jock, but he can be a total sweetie. He has some himbo tendencies, and often needs to write stuff down in order to remember to do certain tasks. Still, he'll always spring into action in order to help others.
Loves taking part in contests, whether he's good at something or sucks at it. For instance, he likes winning, but loves playing video games with his boyfriend Max or swimming with their girlfriend Ondine even if they both beat him. He believes that games are the most fun when everyone's trying to win.
It was really hard for him and Max to keep their superhero identies a secret from Ondine, and for them to not flirt with her while in costume. It was only after she was akumatized into Syren that they told her their alter egos.
Him & Ivan are workout buddies. The two like pumping iron or sparring as Max & Mylene blush.
Pegasus is the brains of the operation. He's the one who determines the probability of each plan's percentage of succeeding. He can also use Voyage to teleport, easily avoiding harm.
Max is a proud nerd. He has skills in robotics, science and mathematics, and loves learning as much as possible. He can be a little big smug when he's right about something, with one of his favorite phrases being "I told you so".
He used to refuse he was autistic, trying his hardest to mask, and very hard not to stim. Still, he realized he fit the criteria, liking various routines, hating that he could be tardy or forgetful, and had sensory sensitivities. Marinette and Kim told him they were neurodivergent too (ADHD) and that there was nothing to be ashamed of. He's started to stim openly and work on tactics to avoid shutdowns.
He helps run the social media account for the Miraculers with the help of Alya. Pegasus has accidentally gained a fanbase called The Techno Trotters.
Created Markov as an assistant robot to the team. The rest of the squad think he's adorable.
Polymouse has the power to split into multiple tiny clones of herself. Her duplicates can do some damage to enemies but are mostly used for situations in which a small size matters (like stealth missions).
Mylene isn't someone you'd expect to be a crime-fighter. She's anxious, frightened by a lot of things, and a pacifist. It's why she's more of a support hero and focuses on civilian safety. However she has not just a desire to protect the environment, but the people she loves.
Incredibly passionate about the arts, as she's following in her father's footsteps by acting in various school plays. It's one area where her confidence soars and she's always eager to use her hero alter ego to get kids interested in the theater. Being short and plus-sized has also made her a body positive icon for Paris.
Though she doesn't look or act like a typical prankster, her hi-jinks on April Fools are legendary. No matter if you're a scumbag like Mr. Roth, or her beloved boyfriend Ivan, you're getting pranked on that special day.
Leads mental health healing sessions for the squad. She feels it's only right since they've helped her so much with her own mental health.
Minotaurox is the powerhouse of the team. He uses the power of Resistance to increase defense to enemy attacks, allowing his super strength to destroy them with ease.
Ivan's a big guy, but a gentle giant. While he can certainly be grouchy on a bad day, it actually takes a hell of a lot to anger him. He used to be incredibly frustrated with the fact that certain kids at school treated him like a big ugly monster, but his friends taught him not to care what idiots have to say.
It really upsets him having to constantly take down his biological father Raul, as he worries the man will eventually hurt his mom or his step-dad or even his little sister. It's why he told them his secret, because he couldn't stand lying to them in case they wondered where he was while Raul was out there.
One of the most humble members of the squad. Ivan doesn't give a damn about fame or even recognition. To him, all that matters is doing his job and doing it well.
Cherishes Mylene and sees her as a soothing ray of light in his clouded mind. They're definitely one of the most wholesome couples of Paris.
Pigella has a... unique special power. By using Jubilation, she can give someone (usually an akuma or criminal) a gift which showcases their deepest desire. This usually will keep someone still long enough for the other heroes to defeat them. She is a favorite among younger kids since she's pink, very sweet and knows how to speak to them and make them feel not so scared of bad guys anymore.
Rose is the heart of the group. A bubbly joyful girl, who tries her best to live life to the fullest. This is due to her having been in-and-out of hospitals all of her life due to struggles with leukemia. She knows it's possible she may not have long to live, and wants to make the best of it just in case. It's currently in remission, thankfully.
Just because she can be a little naive at times, don't think she's stupid. If you mess with her, her friends and family, and especially her gf Juleka, she will be pissed. She's got a surprising temper when she's angry.
Becoming a hero has allowed her to meet Ali Taslim a.k.a. PrinceAli, a famous YouTuber who gives lots of money to charity. The Miraculers are now endorsing charities not just in India but all throughout the world.
She's training to be a hair stylist. She'll often style her teammates' dos, while Juleka does the makeup and Marinette does the fashion.
Juleka Couffaine/Purple Tigress
Purple Tigress mostly uses her claws and the power of Clout to supercharge her fists for a huge knockout punch. She's seen as a favorite for older kids and teens due to her more rebellious and wild style.
Juleka isn't much of a talker, as she has a tendency to mumble when nervous. She's also quite anxious in certain social situations, giving very few interviews as her alter ego.
She and her twin brother Luka are incredibly close, and he's helping her come out of her shell. Still, they do occasionally bicker and fight about petty things. She was also the one to get Luka to confess his feelings for his partners.
Prefers stealth missions because she's naturally so good at sneaking up on people. Despite having the power of the Tiger Miraculous, she's pretty damn good at remaining hidden.
Her and Rose are incredibly sweet with one another, as they were childhood friends before becoming girlfriends. She's also decided to try modeling gothic attire made by Marinette after the fashionista gave her confidence.
Nathaniel Kurtzberg/Caprikid
Caprikid is able to draw any object he can think of, allowing it to come into reality. This comes in handy when saving people, or thinking up a weapon or tool needed to defeat an enemy. However, it can only be done once, so he needs to make it count. This often means he's more of a rescuing hero than a attacking one.
As a fan of superhero comics (that he has to hide from his parents), Nathaniel is incredibly savvy when it comes to the tropes of being a good guy. He's the one who will often try to remind everyone to keep their identities a secret. Of course, he notes that he's one of the only ones with not much to lose, as he already is frustrated with his mother and father being so controlling of him, and is only friends with his teammates.
He can get a lot grumpier due to the stress of permanent hero work, but is also more assertive here, as he's had to put up with his mother disapproving of his friendships with kids like Alix and Marc and would rather he give up his "childish drawings" in favor of real art. He's started to stand up to his mom, feeling that she has no right controlling his life in such a way.
Easily the snarkiest of the group outside of maybe Alix or Felix. It's because he doesn't like many people seeing him when he's vunerable, so he puts on an air of detached confidence in order to hide when he feels mentally unwell.
There's times where he thinks his boyfriend Marc is way out of his league, and he'll admit to the writer that when he gets compliments, it feels wrong. Marc is usually able to knock the boy out of his funk.
Sabrina Raincomprix/Miss Hound
Miss Hound mostly works as a rescuing hero. By using Fetch, her ball is able to recover any and all objects that touch it. She's seen as adorkable by the people of Paris.
Sabrina can be quite mousy, prefering to follow rather than lead conversations. She really likes being the notetaker of the squad, planning events with the assistance of Marinette. It actually makes her uncomfortable to have to lead anything.
She's Chloe's oldest and closest friend, but don't mistake her for a servant. Despite having a dog Miraculous, she's the one who usually keeps Chloe on a leash. A common phrase for her to say is "Be nice, Chloe".
It's hard for her to keep her identity a secret from her dad, who's a police officer. The Miraculers are seen by him as a bunch of reckless kids who should be more cooperative with the cops. Still he doesn't know why he feels such a paternal instinct when seeing Miss Hound.
Becoming a hero has increased her self-worth and made her feel like she can one day step up to take charge.
Ryoko is both a swordswoman and superhero. She deflects bullets and other projectiles with ease and can use her power to either manipulate air, water or lightning. She's learning not to be so impulsive when in battle, eagerly rushing into the fight.
Kagami was initially raised by Tomoe to be a relentless perfectionist, so she happens to be very competitive. She lives for the thrill of a victory, so becoming a superhero was a change for her. She had to consider people's lives when going out on the streets to patrol. It taught her that her mother was wrong about life being a contest.
Kagami is very blunt at first glance, but this is more because she's a very literal person. She has no problem telling someone she doesn't want to hang out with them, and she's had to learn how to occasionally sugarcoat her language with her friends.
She was taught by her friends and partners that she's more than just a tool for her mother, and they've really given her a sense of community. As a result, she is fiercely loyal to them, even if she does clash with Chloe or Felix every now and then.
Seriously suspects that her mother is helping the Collector in someway, so she's helping Nino and one of her partners, Adrien, in investigating her sudden close friendship with Gabriel.
Viperion's power is the ability to use his harp to entrance enemies. He's also seen as a heartthrob, which his sister likes to tease him about.
Luka is an incredibly mellow guy. He's got a soothing tone to his voice at almost all times, and leads meditation sessions for the team.
He can be surprisingly chilling when he's angry. For instance, he has a hatred for Bob Roth for trying to sabotage his band Kitty Section (which Juleka, Rose, Ivan & occasionally Adrien are part of) and for how he works his son XY to the bone. He also is resentful of Jagged Stone for leaving before the twins were born and paying little child support.
Likes the reputation he has as being a shoulder to cry on and someone wise beyond his years. He's afraid of showing his age or that he doesn't have all the answers.
Juleka is simultaneously his biggest wingman and biggest roaster and vice versa. Nobody can bring someone up or down like she can. Still, he wouldn't have it any other way.
Rooster Bold's power is Amplication which means to use a rallying cry to give energy to his teammates. He also has a super powerful headbutt. The hero doesn't like being the center of attention, preferring to be a role model for more reserved kids.
Marc's shyer than his introverted boyfriend. He prefers the comfort of indoors and sitting on the couch reading a good book or at his desk, writing little short stories.
Adores his little brother Kiran and is surprisingly protective of the anxious boy. He even told him about his alter ego so that he could go to bed safely, knowing that Rooster Bold would be there to protect him.
A huge fan of manga of all genres, he'll sometimes get into harmless arguments with Nathaniel about whether it or comics are better. Still, they proudly work together on various graphic novels and short stories. He also does some screenwriting with Alya for Nino's student films.
Marc used to worry about trying out more masculine hobbies, since he has an androgynous appearance. After being introduced to soccer by Sabrina, he realized it shouldn't matter how you look when doing so-called "manly things" like sports.
Argos has the Peacock Miraculous, allowing him to possess an amok, which can temporarily pause the mind of the person who was brainwashed by The Collector. He's considered the "bad boy" of the group, an anti-hero who cares little for pleasing Parisians and can be rather ruthless on his worst days.
Felix is the opposite of his cousin (since Sentimonsters don't exist, I imagine he looks somewhat different than Adrien.) He's a lot colder, sneakier and less emotional. The only reason he even became a hero was to stick it to his abusive father. Despite his traumatic past, he resents anyone feeling bad for him, as he sees it as useless pity.
He's often one to start arguments between the team, and it takes a lot of forcing from Adrien to offer an apology. He hasn't betrayed the squad, however, as he sees no need to. Plus, he knows how valuable he is to the team, and he'll often act rather smug about that.
Felix often taunts Adrien for being so idealistic, even after losing his mother. Adrien just reminds his cousin that if life ends one day, it's the best to make the most of the small time you have on Earth.
He's had to learn how to be a team player, after spending his childhood looking out for himself. It's a long process, but he's finally sorta getting the hang of it.
Riodini holds the power of the Butterfly Miraculous. This means they can enter a controlled person's mind and help them fight back against The Collector's control. He often keeps to the shadows, avoiding the sight of her enemies.
Zoe's a lot kinder than her half-sister, but certainly isn't a pushover. He actually got sent by her dad to Paris a few years back because she was expelled from her own school for beating the crap out of Ray for bullying people. While they left New York a hero to her classmates, he became a superhero in the city of Paris.
They've found the Science Class to be a much more welcoming group of people compared to his old class. She's often the one who comes up with excuses for her and Marc's "absences" whenver trouble comes knocking. His classmates are 90% sure that they're two of the heroes.
He's really found mental peace with the help of not just her close friends in the Science Class, but especially in their teammates Sabrina & Mylene. She helps Sabrina organize stuff while acting in fun student films alongside Mylene. He also likes bringing Cosette over to watch old cartoons, or bake or do each other's hair & makeup. Cosette is the only one who truly knows Zoe is Riodini, and Zoe will often flirt mentally with it, causing them to blush like mad.
Nora inspired him to take part in wrestling classes. He's made up the alter ego of Fury, which she also uses to scare the crap out of Ray and his goons.
OK, I'm FINALLY done! This took weeks to make, but I'm super super proud of the results. So yeah, they're all 14 but became Miraculers when they were 11. Since this took so long, I'd like people to do more than just reblog & like. I want you to give me your thoughts on each character as you read it. What would you add, what was your favorite part? What are your general opinions? Please, please, please lemme know, do not be shy! I'm eager to respond! @booksrbetterthanpeople @msweebyness @nerdy-chocomallow @fayflutter @mxstarartz @thetwistedarchives @thefcguy
