HAHA!
One of the best excuses I used to use as a young lass (lad) was to carry my book around to avoid conversation with people I dislike. The book is more interesting than the conversation that I was bound to have.
Hot Weather Tips
The weather has become unbearable in Malaysia. Last night, I suffered from sleep disruption because due to the heat. On top of that, there were mosquitos in the room that showed up from nowhere.
In the morning itself it’s 11.49 a.m, the Celsius is 33. Imagine in the middle of the night I suffered from restless sleep because of the weather. It was so dark and it was so hot. It felt so unnatural for me to experience this.
Here is my suggestion which I am going to try out on myself.
Tips for cope up with the unbearable hot weather.
1. I’m have taken my shower in the morning with cold water while the morning was hot. I might do the same again in the afternoon.
2. Wear sunblock while outside and reapply back after several hours has passed by.
3. Keep yourself dehydrated. This is important that you drink enough water to retain the water in your body.
4. Avoid wearing thick clothes and wear as light as possible.
5. Buy an air conditioner if it’s convenient or purchased a fan like what I did although it is not enough. It is not convenient for me to purchase an air-con since I am renting.
6. Save your electrical gadgets and keep them in a colder place. My laptop started overheating.
7. Again, this time save your medicines that you have kept out and store it in the fridge.
8. Use an umbrella or a hat. Or better yet... USE BOTH.
9. I am going to try to escape from the house and try out a shopping mall or cafes to spend my afternoon to avoid the heat at home.
10. Close the curtains and try to avoid the sunlight for entering the house. Open your doors and windows.
11. If you have a water fountain at home. Leave it on.
12. Get indoor plants if you are staying in a condominium.
13. Make tonnes of ice and keep cold water in the fridge.
14. I read somewhere sweating is good for you. In order to sweat, the best way is to eat spicy food. I love spicy food so it’s not going to be a problem for me.
Excuse me, while I am going to get a cup of cold water to drink. Don’t forget to drink enough water.
Do you feel the same way?
