I do think it’s a fun concept though, to see her go all out in rejecting not just her season but the tribe as a whole, and to seek out her FogClan half

I have a baby in an rp named Shadykit... she won’t get her warrior name for a while but I would love to hear your take on it!

Shady is optimistic, extroverted, eager to jump into things, compassionate, emotional, easily-distracted and easily-jealous. She likes to be the center of attention and desperately wants to be liked.

She sounds like a great cat to be around! Do Shadyblossom, Shadyflight, Shadyleap, or Shadyspring work?

🌈 –  something i want to happen in their character arc 

i, personally, think it’s about time starling belly made some stupid choices. it’s a tradition in the tribe after all, isn’t it? but really, i feel like currently he’s hit a low point and feels rather hopeless or useless in general to tribemates he thought he once had a meaning to, so...why not try to regain some sort of purpose? i think it’d be interesting to watch him make a rash, kind of foolish choice to either have some kits of his own or go off galivanting on a selfish cross clan (cross tribe?) romance / adventure...he spends so much time contemplating others that i think him choosing to do something just for himself, even if it’s not the smartest move, would be really intriguing.

is it selfish to say his relationship with tiger breeze? i mean, i think it’s an undeniably interesting one just on its own, but the fact that there are so many other cats tied up in their dynamic (firefly / butterfly, vixen / rose, other spring cats) really adds to it overall. they’re both characters who have never really had a sense of belonging, but they’ve dealt with it with very different attitudes...but honestly alarmingly similar approaches. just keep pushing through it, just act like everything’s fine. i imagine starling belly probably adopted that method of coping from tiger breeze, and watching their interactions now that he’s a grown up more capable of evaluating what their bond has become is super intriguing. it’s a sort of dynamic i honestly don’t think exists anywhere else in the group and because of that i think it has the most potential to change them both.

ohhh, strawberrypaw. while a lot of the potential relationships that they could have feel slated for animosity because of the chaos they caused, there are a fair few cats who i think could develop a unique sort of connection to them. to begin with, i think that they and meadowthroat still would have a good dynamic if they could find their way back to friendship. strawberrypaw being the one to bring meadowthroat into their group in the first place is the reason he stands where he does today, and i don't think meadowthroat would entirely hold strawberrypaw's naïve way of thinking against them.

on the front of cats they have yet to interact with, though, i really think strawberrypaw and lichenfang would be fascinating. lichenfang isn't quite as clueless as strawberrypaw is, but they're both victims of extreme manipulation from cats who should have been looking out for them. strawberrypaw from their mother and from fizz, and lichenfang from...well. notably minkstar, but honestly a lot of mountainclan in general. lichenfang might be able to sympathize with the whole "social pariah" vibe strawberrypaw has and tug them back towards clan life in a way that can help them adjust accordingly!

I hope this isn’t too late but 👀 Starling Belly or Tumble perhaps?

starling belly is the sort of cat i can feasibly see looking for love outside of the tribe, not out of any reckless nature or desire to break the rules but because he needs a break from the constant presence of the tribe in his life. i know he hasn’t branched out much beyond his own tribemates, but there is one cat i think would be sweet with him, and that’s clovercloud. clovercloud’s treated him with the sort of sweetness that starling belly rarely gets to experience in his day to day life and so i don’t think it’d be much of a stretch for starling belly to develop a little crush on him that, with time, could evolve into something more. they certainly seem to get along well already, and i think they’d do a good job of taking care of each other if they had more of a chance to talk about their feelings in depth. 

tumble is a TOTAL mystery to me romance wise so perhaps send her in next time i’m doing this and i’ll have someone to pair with her that i think she WOULDN’T talk the ear off of trying to convince them she should be a winter born --

gonna dooo tiger breeze’s thoughts on starling!

so. starling. tiger breeze has never been known for being kind or warm to younger cats, despite her place as the tribe’s spring-born leader, but...starling was an exception. he came along after some pretty difficult times in the tribe, some times that tiger breeze still resents and thinks of negatively, and he was something for her to latch onto, a young spring-born she could feel connected to, train, and raise. she had no desire to mother him, of course, but she was fond of him from the start, taking him on as her own little prodigy.

except...well. starling’s a near polar opposite of her, at least in how he presents himself. he’s far more soft, open, kind, while tiger breeze forcibly shuts off any outward expression of feelings beyond mild pleasure or approval. that didn’t stop her from doting on starling to an extent, but as he’s grown older and become more of his own cat, it’s made her...almost scared of him, in a way. starling’s part of what she wishes she could be (or what she thinks she should), tender and nurturing and trying his best to be a spring-born. so of course it makes her uncomfortable, prickly, and now she’s turned to lashing out, blaming him for things that aren’t his fault as he’s confronted her about her own conflicts. starling makes her insecure, and she disapproves of what he’s become, so soft he’s willing to give in completely to his feelings...everything tiger breeze has never allowed herself to do. 

he’s not her heir, but he was the closest thing she had to one up until her kits were born, and so i think she’s sort of taken up a disapproving mentor role for him now...tiger breeze is good at burning bridges, and her last conversation with starling is a clear example of that. she still cares about him, but she can’t process that in a way that allows her to see his attempts at questioning her as anything other than...basically disobeying her, showing disrespect for all she believes she’s done for him, because although her lessons of blatantly disregarding feelings for duty are objectively harmful, tiger breeze believes in them, and seeing starling throw that aside makes her feel as if he’s failing her, somehow.
