PLL: The Bad Seed Theory
In the first episode of season one, Emily walks over to give the St. Germain's a welcome basket. She notices a medal among the boxes of Alison's things sitting on the curb.
She identifies it, and picks it up.
After Maya and Emily leave to go in the house, the camera zooms in on the medal before switching to the next scene. For whatever reason, the show made a point to foreshadow this medal.
The medal never made sense to me. Why would they purposely show it and then never re-visit it?
It wasn't until 1x18 The Badass Seed when I noticed this scene:
"That's what the eight year old killed her classmate for, the penmanship medal. That's why they call her the bad seed." Spencer to Emily
