Oh my god. I just read 'A Fool For Fire' after you reblogged it, so firstly, thank you for reblogging or I'd never have seen it! Secondly, damn you! My heart is now broken?! I am so overwhelmed and frustrated at the wonderful story but angsting boneheaded characters who just won't talk to each other, ughhh! Thought you might be feeling the same way and had to vent a little! Damn damn damn, they are so frustrating!

Oh god, I know.  I’m just, ugh, sad over that. I just cried over them.  My babies drive me crazy. Open your eyes, Stiles, he loves you. Derek, honey just talk to him. 

Lately I’ve been in a fanfiction fix because well fandom gets me down. And I watch The Walking dead and absolutely adore Carol x Daryl.  So I decided to go tiptoe through their tags.  It was nice but there’s a ship war going on over there, so no (when isn’t there one).  

Anyway, I found a great fic rec list (currently working through it) and that was on there.  Sterek always makes me happy. It was glorious but the angst.  But yeah, some of my moods call for angst and dark but I always look for the light at the end of the tunnel. I need to work through the mood and not wallow in it. But this isn’t finished so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I just want those two to communicate and quit assuming.  (I really hope this ends well)

not really, i'm just stealing shamelessly from the actual show (if they don't go anywhere with claudia stilinski or the stiles-as-emissary angle i'm going to beat jeff davis over the head with a plethora of wet noodles). also, you're welcome to use any of them in af3, or ask me to elaborate on any of them! <3

i actually wrote that almost as soon as i was done reading ch 3 (for about the third time anyway). since then i’ve developed a waaay more complex headcanon about claudia being a sort of veronica grimm type (have you read the sisters grimm series? seems like something you’d like) that just sort of helped any and all magical creatures who came to her for help, and this caused a lot of friction between her and talia because talia was like “no, mine!” and claudia was like a motherfuckin superhero with this BAMF connection to the tulleric (sp?) currents who refused to play favorites and wanted to help everyone.

as for your comment on the story about wanting to know my headcanons? i have all the headcanons. for the show anyway, but here’s a brief list of my af3 ones:

the one about claudia being a “watcher” who kept he tulleric currents stable and did everything she could to help the shapeshifters (of all sorts) who were drawn to them and maybe made herself sick trying to get them to be dormant but wasn’t sure if it would hold if she died or became a werewolf and talia being super jealous of claudia risking her life to help every tom, dick and remus lupin to wander through town and not joining the pack

the slightly nonsensical and soon to be disproved one where jamie is actually a kitsune whose mom got help from stiles’ mom a long time ago so he actually sought stiles out for fanboy reasons

the one about stiles being derek’s destined emissary because they’re presh and generational xerox

the one where chris used to be just as trigger happy as the rest of his family but then he met claudia and she made him actually stop and think and so that’s why he’s so devoted to the code

the one about stiles renaming himself after “a means of passage over obstacles” (n. a stile) being significant and magical and shit

any and all headcanons about talia being the HBIC and her husband being “alpha’s mate” like stiles

the one where papa stilinski and mama mccall have basically been co-parenting for a while and scott and stiles are like brothers and the sheriff is like scott’s dad so when he turned him away from the house it was like his dad didn’t want him all over again

the one where stiles has an inherent connection to the tulleric currents that he inherited from his mom which is why he has ADHD and also why his mind went straight to “werewolf” when scott told him about the enhanced reflexes

the one about lydia, and eventually erica, shipping sterek like nobody’s business

the one about isaac eventually joining the pack and treating derek and stiles like his parents

the one about jackson kinda already doing that because his adoptive parents think he’s awesome no matter what he does so their affection doesn’t seem genuine but derek and stiles don’t mother-hen him so their approval is actually worth something to him

the one about boyd being protective of stiles when scott grabbed him because boyd feels like he failed to protect his sister

the entire next generation fic worth of OCs that i have made for scallison, jydia, sterek and erica/boyd

also, i have all the chris argent feels. all of them. he’s such an under-appreciated character, he’s come so far with his development and he’s so complex and awesome and it just gives me all the feels. i also love stories where a character, especially one like stiles, came so close to having this perfect idyllic life and then someone made one stupid mistake and fucked it all up and there’s this nostalgia for who he might have been and all the people who might have loved him. but it’s even better when there’s a chance they’ll reclaim part of that life, make it new and better and more their own and then give that idyllic life to their children.

anyway i’m glad you like the story and that is not even the beginning of all the af3 fanfics i have written in my head. af3 is awesome and you’re awesome and as much as i want ch 4 it’s a derek chapter and i know those are hard but they are the best so just take your time and make it how you want it to be.
