I can say, and some of you already know, that I have greatly enjoyed the rest. The Aeneid, The Woman in White and The Sound and the Fury are among my all-time favourite books. May 2nd - A Sci-Fi novel that means a lot to you

I have to be honest: when I'm reading a book, I don't really pay any attention towards the genre in particular. I pick it up because I like the story. I haven't read that many sci-fi novels I think but one that I remember from a quite a few years ago is I Am Number Four by Pittacus Lore. 

I remember buying it on a field trip to Oxford with my secondary school and it was the third time I'd been to England. But of course, I'd finished reading all the books I brought with me so I needed some new ones for the way back to the Netherlands. As I was browsing the young adult section (15 at the time), the book shops owner started talking to me and recommended a few books. It was the first substantial, useful conversation I ever had with a native speaker and I was over the moon. 

When I see that book in my room, it reminds me of that moment so in that sense, it means a lot to me.
