In search of spring 2012

The last two days I really hadn't the ability to shoot because of the crappy weather, rain rain rain ! I managed to steal some shots though ! the shots represent the spring so flowers, the coolest thing was that the shots were made just after the rain, I waited for the sun to peak and made my moves ! I really need to buy a macro lens so I can capture the little details of the rain drops on the flowers ( you can still see  them if you look close into my pictures), here goes the shots I made:

I passed a long time under this bush finding the best angle of a flower to shot ! The green and rain play a great role in the soul of the picture

The DOF has done it all :) no comment

This was the place where the shots were taken (Jardin des infirmieres USJ-CSM Beirut)

The following day I chased the spring back to find this pretty little blossoms in a hidden corner of our university ! if Any official is reading this please plant some more trees in our university we are in NEEEEEEEED !!! here goes the shots : 

  This photo was taken when me and my dear friend Cyril were leaving Doculand were we printed my photorphs to decorate a special place in our university la maison du Carabin! This shot was that of a sunset, an urban sunset with a lovely pattern of clouds in the sky ! I adore sunsets!

Playing with light

Today I was a bit worried because the hole day I did nothing and the weather was and is awful, the clouds are everywhere and the cold breeze dominates beirut and the hole of lebanon. I wanted to sleep, was closing the window when suddenly I noticed the lamps ! I shot them in 2 different techniques , the high key versus the low key see for yourself :

And here it is ! you gotta know after this that inspiration doesn't come when you want it, inspiration comes when u least expect it ;) as you can see the little details are so awesome ! perfectly aligned holes ! blue color lines ! silver + white ! that's just catchy ! The spring strike !

Today when I came home I was amazed by seeing a little number of trees growing little tiny flowers on their branches 

for this shot I spiced up the contrast and blacks ! adding some cold colors

 For this one I added a warming filter, I enhanced just a bit the shadows !

The thing now is the perspective! I tend to follow harmony and hate symmetry in the position of the objects although I adore symmetry in objects.

I love the sun, and sunsets ! to make streaks just put your cam on shutter priority and set it to 1/50 1/40 and photograph the object with a slight piece of the sun appearing behind it ! I made some shots that you'll see by scrolling down !

              And of course the branches ! the sun ! damn it feels so good to photograph spring again, it's a rebirth for the nature ! I'm never tired of photographing the same things as they might look different in some way or another ...maybe im different. Mood plays a great role in your photographing, of course being happy will produce better photographs of nature ! In people you must feel that your model is comfortable with  you! I tend to better know the person before I shot a great shot of him/her (mostly her :P). Anyways check out the other photographs :

Funny Story (1)

  On this snowy day I had nothing in mind in particular. I suddenly stumbled upon a frozen grasshopper.

                   Well I said what hell brought it home and I've put it near the stove. Incredibly this little creature has more tricks in its bag than I suspected it LIVED !! 

                  Amazingly it didn't fly from my room ! it just stayed near the heat.

Those little creatures always amazed me with their alien shapes and their perfect symmetry! In the wild it save very hard to spot them let alone photograph them ! over the years I have built a powerful radar that can almost detect everything that moves :P. I crawled a lot especially when I wanted to shoot a photograph of the dragonfly (story soon). Spring is coming at great pace and with it the life we be re-birth again :D Don't forget to like my page ! there's awesome pictures there !

The Beginning

Hello i'm gonna start by saying that I'm new to this blogging thing and I want to personally thank a person that inspired me in doing all this stuff her name is Alina she's studying in nutrition and has a passion that is Astronomy, she owns a blog and she told me she's got a site now :D how cool is that be sure to visit her site http://www.theblueplanetdiaries.com/ . I have a rheumatology exam to study and the blogging thing just did not stop nagging me ! i wanted so badly to own a blog!

I will actually talk once and a while about medical stuff (useful stuff) but this blog is all about photography. I have a Facebook page that I would like you to see it with all the best shoots I had (or not had so far) here's the link https://www.facebook.com/ChaDDed.Photography

I created the blog to tell the story behind each picture, photography has been a part of my life since 3 years from now and it just got better when I had my DSLR (Nikon D5000) in late March 2011. I never stopped evolving that after I had my 30000th shoot I decided to create the.chadded.photography signature (you'll notice that a big number of picture does not have any signature because it was before this transformation :P I wanna start a relation based on trust).Anyhow like I said I have to prepare an exam so I'm just gonna skip a lot and share a photo that I shot for my 365 day project:

I was pissed off that I came back home at the end of the snow storm !! I just haven't had anything to shoot, plus the rain was dripping. Well the dripping pipe that we somewhat fixed made my day :D just outside our home's wall ! a huge ice stalactite *thanks for kevin lol =P (you can remember by this sentence : You MIGHT fall and kill yourself ) so the stalagmite grow from the ground ;). Well after I took the shoot I adjusted the exposure on adobe RAW lower it down by -2, adding some Darks and a little bit of contrast, of course the white balance was somewhat to the colder colors to give it a smooth icy look :D

Anyway I just wanna get back to studying, hope (if you reached this far) you enjoyed it and you'll see some more action soon....very soon ! PS:for the Vlad name, its a short story that ill share next week :D
