I'm inclined to think so, but it was one of the first I ever played so I'm probably super biased? The premise seems pretty cliche, but the storyline is heartfelt enough to make up for that, IMO.

Fan-Fiction 10 Days with My Devil: The Powerful Ones that were Locked Out- Chapter 13 "How we all met" Pt. 1
The Demon Releam was well alive from the demons moving around. Children walking with their parents but one stand alone.
A little girl with short grayish hair with a maid outfit stood alone. She looked around as she sees everyone with their mothers and fathers.
"Hona, let's go..." A young women named Kimmie took the little girl's hand. "It's time to go back to the castle."
The little girl named Hona nod in response. They walked to the castle.
"Come on, you must not go out at stare at the other demons, Hona." Kimmie bend down and looked at Hona.
"...I'm lonely..." Hona said. Kimmie had a sad look. Kimmie softly patted Hona's head.

A young girl with blonde hair with eyes of the blue walked along the path of the forest. She looked around and saw many flowers.
"Hmm...I think this one is pretty..." The girl smelled the flower. She put it in her basket of flowers. Then...noises from the trees and bushes.
"Where have you been?" A man came running over to the girl. "You are propose to be practicing!"
"But...Father...I..." The girl tried to explain.
"No excuses! I will not have you nonsense!" The girl's father, grabbed her basket. "You are meant for battle, you are not like your mother!"
"Father! Stop-!!!"
Her father burned basket of flowers in seconds. Tears came down from her eyes.
"Now come, we have much to learn!" The father pulled her arm.
"No! I don't want to go!!" The girl cried. "I don't want to learn fire!"
The girl broke free from the grip of her father. She ran into the forest.
"Ellie! Come back!!" The father yelled.

A girl with long hair with ocher eyes looked around the library and picked a book up. She read it until a man and a women came.
"Lillien! Where have you been!" A women came running to the girl named Lillien.
"What do you think? The library." Lillien responded.
"Lillien, you should of told us where you were!" A man stood next to the women.
"Why? There's no reason to tell you two, either way, you two don't own me. Lillien got up and walked past them. "Oh...by the way, I'm going to the ball dance. Everyone is going, so I might as well go." Lillien left the library.
The man sigh, "What are we going to do to with her...?"
"I don't know...she is always like this, speaking up her mind." The women also sigh with sadness.

A boy with sliver hair slept on the ground. His father then woke him up.
"Son, wake up."
"Hmm...Oh..." The boy groaned. "What is it?"
"Time to get dress for the ball dance, are you ready?"
"Oh yes, father." The boy yawned. "Must I go?"
"Yes, Maikeru." His father smiled. "You must meet the Demon King and all the other children."
"Alright, father." The boy named Maikeru smiled.
"Now, go get dress."
Maikeru quickly ran to get dress. His father sigh.
"Soon enough, you'll learn something."

"Hidemi, be careful how you put it!"
"Mother, I think it's propose to be this way." A girl with long black hair named Hidemi weakly smiled. "I know how to put it on."
Her mother then brought a comb, "Brush your hair, you must look nice."
"Why do I have to go?"
"To meet the other children, you might meet the 2 princes like you always dreamed of." The mother smiled.
"The 2 prince? I never dreamed of meeting them, I rather not meet them at all." Hidemi disagreed.
"Oh well, you might meet new friends."
"I guess so..."

"Run!" Kakeru yelled. Everyone ran fast out of the Demon Releam.
"Aaarrrgghhh...."
"Satoru is catching up with us!" Kimmie yelled out. They ran through the tunnels.
"Ah!" Deanna then was grabbed by Satoru. "Let go of me!!"
Satoru looked at Deanna, "Say...good-bye...agrh...."
"Deanna!!" Haruhito shouted.
"Haru, stop!" Kakeru shouted. "He's too strong!"
"Hona, do something!" Shiki echoed through the tunnels.
ZING!
A man with white small cloak appeared out of nowhere, his thumb was Satoru's forehead. Satoru's eyes turned back to the normal color.
"Uh...what happened?" Satoru looked around.
"Nothing at all..." The man takes off his hood and smiled. "Hello, everybody..." He had sliver hair and his hair that covered his right side of his eye.
"Maikeru!" Kimmie was shocked.

"You're Maikeru?" Kakeru asked.
"Yes." Maikeru smiled. "I work with the Demon King to create potions."
"Potions? Potions for what?" Deanna asked.
"Hehe...potions to discover of what they do." Maikeru looked at Hona. "...Is...that you Hona?" Hona looked away from him.
"Hona! How's it going? You grew so tall and taller than me!" Maikeru laughed.
"Yeah..." Hona mumbled. "Don't talk to me..."
"What?" Shiki was shock. "Hona, what's wrong?"
Hona didn't answer. Maikeru smiled nervously, "Oh well, so you're the prince, huh?"
"Yes." Kakeru answered. "Father, why haven't you told me about Maikeru?"
"Maikeru had been working since he was young, after his father died, he took over and even after you left." The Demon King answered.
"Then...does that mean you've worked before Hidemi took over the Demon Releam?" Kakeru asked.
"Hidemi? What do you mean she took over?" Maikeru was shock.
"You mean...you don't know that Hidemi took over?" Kimmie asked. "How long have you been gone?"
"What do you mean?" Maikeru was confused. "I've been gone for just for 6 years..."
"6 years ago..." Hona spoke quietly. Everybody turned to look at her and stopped their tracks. "You left her 6 years ago...heart-broken..." Hona looked up.
"Umm..." Maikeru was speechless.
"What...?" Deanna was shocked. "What do you mean, Hona?"
Hona blew her hair out of her face, "Maikeru...he left Hidemi..."
Everybody was quiet. No one couldn't speak a word.
"...Hidemi thought I killed Miakeru..." The Demon King spoke. "Did...you lie to her, Maikeru?"
"Ummmm...yes...I did," Maikeru answered.
"Why would you lie to her?!" Kimmie yelled. "You loved her didn't you?"
Maikeru looked down. Everybody looked down at him.
"I don't get what's going on here..." Kakeru crossed his arms.
"I loved her..." Maikeru smiled weakly as he looked up. "But...I didn't want her to go with me...I wanted her to stay..."
"You lied to her..." Hona spoke quietly again. "You lied that you been taken away and you couldn't come back..." Hona glared at Maikeru. "I hate you...you left her...all sad and lonely...again."
Maikeru lost the smile and crunched his fist, "I had to! Or she would of came with me!"
"Where did you go then, huh?" Hona tilt her head. "You left her crying...making her drink the potion..."
"What?" Maikeru was shock. "She drank the potion!"
"Of course she did...she made me drank it..." Hona looked up. "She even made Ellie...and Lillien drink it it..."
"No, why did you drink it?" Maikeru came close, crunching his fist.
"...I didn't want to lose her...I was already alone...remember?" Hona looked away. "By the way...she wants revenge...she's not going to stop until the Demon King is dead..."
"Ugh...why...?" Maikeru covered his forehead.
"Why did you leave her, Maikeru?" The Demon King asked. "If you wouldn't lie, then we wouldn't even be in this mess!!!"
"I'm sorry, Your Highness..." Maikeru bowed. "She didn't know about where I was going..."
"Where did you go?" Kakeru asked.
"I went to the Human Releam...6 years of it...I learned much..." Maikeru answered. "I lied to her that I was going somewhere and I wasn't coming back for a while...."
"She didn't say that...she said you were taken away...and she thought the Demon King killed you..." Hona disagreed.
"She misunderstood the letter!" Maikeru shouted.
"That's not even a lie," Kakeru said. "You could of told her that you were going to the Human Releam."
"She was going to follow me! I couldn't let her!" Maikeru covered his face. "I loved her...I was meant for battle and guarding the Demon Releam but until my father died, I had to take care of his work."
"Then why did you leave for the Human Releam?" Kimmie asked.
"The Demon King wanted me to search for herbs there." Maikeru respond. "I just didn't want her to go..."
"Then why did you lie to her in the first place?" Deanna asked. "You lied to her for a reason, right?"
"Yes...if I told her the truth, she would want to come and if I said no, she would of visited me everyday in the Human Releam..."
"Maikeru, this is confusing!" Kakeru yelled. "You went and lie to her so you could go to the Human Releam, right?"
Maikeru nod, "Yes..."
"You should of never left her, Maikeru..." Hona looked at Maikeru. "I already betrayed her....either...you go stop her...or...she's going to get her revenge..."
