“It’s honestly too early to even think,” Roman groaned, trying to answer his cell phone with his hangover. Sure, it was in the middle of the evening, he had been up for the past two hours, but damn — it was too early.
The person calling hung up without saying anything, leaving the man in a state of irritation.
Christian knew he had no real friends in Ashgrove other than his fellow G.R. members. That was clearer than day. And when he was sporting his new black eye from an angered citizen, he knew that he did his job. People were being reminded of something they were forgetting: God had royally fucked them all over.
It wasn’t something that he did often, seeing that he had much more important business to handle back on the compound as leader, but when he showed his face people always got irritated.
Noticing someone, he held out one of the many business cards he had tucked away for them to take. He awaited seeing their angry face, a sad one, something. Maybe he’d be sporting two black eyes in the name of the Guilty Remnant.

Caroline sat in boredom outside her shop, basking in the glow of the sun while simultaneously attempting to mute the noises carrying over from other streets. She had no intentions of reopening her eyes until she heard a small shuffle from nearby.
“Come here to take refuge?”
“Damnit, just burned 2,000 calories.” Raj sighed out as he pulled out the tray charred-black pizza dough which now had the solidity of a rock. “That's the last time I leave pizza in the oven while I nap.” He dropped the tray onto the counter, giving a moment of silence for the fatal tragedy in front of him before moving on to the refrigerator, scavenging for leftovers or anything edible, really. “Okay, takeout it is, I guess. And don’t say ‘I told you so’! I am an incredible chef, I just need to stop falling asleep while cooking. It’s a work in progress.”
“I’m not on the clock,” Felix muttered, leaning back on the bench and crossing his arms over his chest. “If you’ve got something to report, find someone who is.”
Heroes Day. Atlas rolled his eyes at the poster, half-tempted to tear it down. Instead, he just scoffed, glancing over to the person next to him. “Every year they do this shit I spend half the day waiting for the punch line,” he muttered.
"I don’t know if the Guilty Remnant is done yet. Just one riot doesn’t seem like enough.”
Caroline shuffled through her notepad to find an empty page, sighing in relief when a blank sheet appeared as she approached her next table. “Hey there, welcome to Piehole, what can I get for you?” she inquired with a smile.
