Aventura Spring Style Collaboration-
No one has ever accused me of being “outdoorsy” but I managed to somehow marry a card-carrying outdoor adventurer and nature seeker who took “Backpacking” as a legit college course towards his degree. Le sigh. Then we went and made three unbelievably amazing kids who all happen to LOVE being outside. Thus, I became an accidental outdoor adventurer. What can ya do?
Fast forward to me realizing one of my true callings in life is to help other women discover their own personal beauty and work with them to find their own beautiful best. I love being a personal stylist. It’s one of my favorite things to do. Watching a woman sit up a little taller or lift her chin a bit from seeing herself through new eyes is life altering. Change the way a person sees themselves and you help change the world! We all want to look our best and feel like ourselves. That means finding what styles best fit an individual’s life. Including my own. My personal style has definitely evolved over time and spending the last four years traveling all over creation has definitely pushed those changes along. I’ve fallen more in love with high fashion and love to see what trends rise and fall, and add something quirky and weird to the mix. I’ve become an expert thrift store treasure hunter and die to find vintage Levi’s or a super rad leather jacket. But as a mom of three adorable explorers, I’m also aware that I’m not always going to be wearing nor styling haute couture. Biking trails and hiking mountains calls for well made, comfortable clothes, but I demand that they still be cute. :)
Enter Aventura Clothing…I’m fortunate to have scored an Ambassadorship role with this family-run brand this year (check out their site here for more info on that). They create eco-friendly and sustainable fashion that also gives back to our communities by partnering with local food banks and unique women’s non-profit to offer help. These are among many other reasons why I’ve loved the pieces I have from them. I’ve gotten a few new ones lately and wanted to share my top Spring 2017 picks!
New Aventura pieces pictured: Jenner Scarf in Spiced Coral Alston Cardigan in Blooming Dahlia Titus pant in Black (these are previous season, but find similar spring version here). The tank top and boots are none other than the good old Target standbys, earrings by Noonday (Fair trade jewelry that employs women from third world countries-LOVE them) and the belt (thrifted vintage!) is mine. The fabrics Aventura uses are super soft (organic cotton, anyone?) and these Titus slim cut pants have become some of my faves with the added seam details, extra pockets and high quality construction. They’re the perfect adventuring pants but still cool enough for everyday styling. Nothing like jumping into the new season! I’ll post more pieces as I get them and let you know how they wear!
