so let me start this off by saying that (at least in america) there’s this thing called ‘the fifth amendment’. which in lamen terms for those of us that don’t read old school basically gives u.s. citizens ‘freedom of speech.’

now there has been controversy all over this fucking amendment since before Eminem took it to the limit and rapped about shit that would make yer grandparents toes curl....

Look the truth of it is...there’s some preeeeeeeeettttty fucked up stuff out there. stuff that’s said or written about or what have u. now some of that shit is...im against it okay. because its both actually illegal and i got a thing about don’t hurt the kids. 

BUT

That does NOT mean AT ALL eVeR that someone should be fucking globally shunned, called out, or whatever the hell else people have come up with to hound a bitch on the intertubes--because they write about the topics or rp stuff that are inside of said topics. 

now i dunno how it works in other countries but here in the U.S. you can literally fucking write about anything you damn well please regardless of what the fuck it is, so long as it is not of REAL WORLD THREAT aka writing about how u wanna committ mass murder. AKA so long as it is CLEAR that it is a work of FICTION ur in the clear. period. end of discussion. wash up. lock the doors. go home.

THE MUN IS NOT THE MUSE. NO MATTER HOW TERRIBLE THE MUSE IS THE MUN IS WRITING A CHARACTER. WHETHER THAT CHARACTER IS CANON OR OC. PERIOD. 

now to broach more specifically the other piece of this. the ‘taboo’ bit.

sometimes bad shit happens to people and since everyone is god damn different (thank the damn gods) we all handle the bad shit that’s happened to us differently. some people go to a therapist. some people paint. some people drink themselves into a grave, some people fly off into the sun on that one big high... and still others....write. 

i get the triggering shit. i have those. i have ptsd from growing up in a house hold where one parent drank like religion and the other had challenges that were quite literally not their fault. Its not a great combination for a kid. you stack on top of that a much older sibling that fucking ran the second they could and left me to handle it all on my own and to this day has never come back really--it did shit to me. then you also add on to the tippy top all the physical trama both accidental and other wise, i’ve endured in my life---my dudes i am fucked up. and yet i some how manage to parent two children (without allowing my problems to bleed onto them and give them ptsd from having ME as a mom) and keep a house from burning down every day. s’a fucking accomplishment right there thanks.

i got issues, i’ll be the first to tell you that.And i handle my issues by allowing them to fuel my creative side.  and i rp situations that some people will find triggering. but guess what? i tag it. im not gonna be a cockbag and not. i get some people dont wanna see it or cant read it because its triggering. 

dont wanna/can’t read? blacklist the tag, but DONT go on some holier than thou crusade to have an entire community completely black wall someone because they RP  situations regarding those triggers. not cool. not cool. not cool. 

also if u rp those situations? dont be a dickpod. TAG UR SHIT.

Just remember that once upon a not so long ago Vincent Van Gogh was shamed and ridiculued for his works of art because they were ‘vulgar’ and he was ‘crazy’. And yet look at how highly regarded he is now. Look how grief stricken people that will never meet him are that he was lost to us when he was. Look at what his life’s work has become in the eye of the general public. Look at what he left behind him because no matter what anyone said...he-kept-painting.

TL;DR
