{Reply below the cut.  Before I even put it, I want to say this isn’t a complaint, this isn’t an attempt to get anyone to play out of guilt.  Just saying what’s going on.  <3 Aka, please don’t read this as ‘UGH WHYYY’ whining and more an acceptance of a new tumblr world that I’m not exactly part of and don’t know how to properly traverse or if I even fit it.

You shouldn’t let it die if you’re that invested in it. If it bothers you to let him ago as a muse, then it’s worth still trying for.

{That’s assuming I haven’t.  Sam’s lingered for months with the amount of threads dropping steadily as people either get busy, find lives, events happen, or a myriad of understandable things.  Maybe they even lost interest in me, which sounds whiny, and I’m not.  It’s perfectly okay to lose interest in someone else and find another partner, though it’s a little worrying that it implies I’m doing something wrong to lose so many people?  

Either way, my point is that I’ve been holding onto this blog for months longer than it’s been living.  I’m still trying to use the old tumblr ways, and it just doesn’t mold well, in my experience, with the way it’s heading.  There’s more reliance on rp threads being something to easily drop and just move on to the next topic without fleshing out the first.  More focus on improv than planning storylines ahead of time.  More focus on crack.  I don’t really fit any of those things.

It might just be my time to leave the hobby, I’m just having a hard time doing so.  I keep waiting for things to spike up and make me feel like i’m supposed to be here, but if anything, I’m just yelling into a void and it feels rather pointless?  There’s little to no interest, at least lasting wise, in the way I play him, or many of my muses, and again, that’s fine.  I just don’t fit the crowd anymore.  

Plus, there’s such a large crowd of rpers and bloggers, that getting little to no interest is pretty common when we’re a drop of water in the sea, and while I remind myself that for that reason it doesn’t reflect my abilities and actual capabilities, there’s that lingering doubt.  Another character comes along like mine, does better, and I remind myself that it’s because they have other partners on their other blogs that are following them to the new blog and that’s why they do so well, and they’re new to boot and spreads that way.  It doesn’t reflect what I can do.  Then the doubt starts in.  This isn’t healthy constantly beating myself up by comparing myself to other people.  And yet I can’t walk away.

The way it’s heading is my blogs becoming private blogs for those three (?) who actually write with me and replying to them and wandering off again.

Again, I want to point out this isn’t crying out for guilt rp.  This is realizing I didn’t keep up with the way the community was going, and the way it has gone overall isn’t satisfying for me writing wise, so I’m all but on my way out.  I’m just flaililng in my death rather than gracefully accepting it.}

Shea was 17 years old. A Senior in High School. But that didn’t stop her father from trying to control her every movement. Especially when it came to her relationship. Shea and Dean had been together since Sophomore year, secretly of course. John and Finnian would have lost their minds if they knew. Sneaking around was always hard, until Shea’s father got her a car for her 16th Birthday. 

It was well past midnight, and her mother was sleeping, Finnian working the night shift at the Police station. Sneaking down the hall, she peeked into her parents room, making sure Carlyn was indeed asleep. Making her way to the front door, she grabbed her leather jacket off the coat rack and her keys out of the key bowl.

Making her way outside, she climbed into her car and pulled her phone out of the pocket of the jeans she was wearing, free hand running back through her red hair. Opening up her messages and quickly typing in Dean’s name, she hoped he was still able to sneak out past his father and brother. typing out the text, she sat staring at the screen after she sent it, deciding she should wait to start the car until Dean confirmed he could escape.
