don't worry you're not the only one. my friends were talking about the karate kid and how it was such a good movie and i argued that it basically merged in the korean, chinese and japanese cultures together and it just doesn't make any sense?? and they were like "relax, it's just a movie" but people around the world can watch that movie, and they're learning the wrong information from it

pacific rim!!!! she’s japanese and she’s supposed to be from hong kong like….??? and it bothered me so much when in the dark knight they were i hong kong and everyone was speaking the wrong language…..

I KNEW IT. i never actually watched pacific rim ((i really want to)) but i knew she was japanese and i had a feeling that her character is supposed to be chinese. i mean really. would it hurt to represent the other asian countries?? i didn't watch the dark night either but seriously? i feel like the media doesn't even bother to do their research because they think we asians all look the same. "oh who cares, nobody will know the difference? right?"
