their road trip had been planned for months, and despite their recent fight, wyatt had saved up a lot for this and he wasn’t backing out -- and apparently, neither were they. they planned to just drive, and stop at landmarks, small shops, etc. anything they hadn’t seen or done and head back when they were running out of money. it was late, and they hadn’t talked or stopped much during their first day, and the other had fallen asleep while he was driving. the road was bumpy, and wyatt was avoiding the holes to avoid waking them. however, his tire caught one, bumping them away. “sorry.” he spoke. “i was trying to avoid the bumps.” he offered a smile, using his hand not on the wheel to offer the bag of chips he stopped to get over to him. “snack? i can stop if you want actual food.”
