Although Armand hasn't precisely felt tired in a very long time, he can sense it in humans. Perhaps it's the perception of a hunter for its prey. An easy target.

Then again, Daniel is always an easy target. Often inebriated, too curious, more naive than he's willing to admit. If Armand hadn't been following him for months now, he's sure he would be dead in an ally somewhere.

"You need sleep," he states, as if Daniel might not be aware. He presses a finger against Daniel's cheek to slightly tug the bag under his right eye. "I'll pin you down if necessary."

"Well, I am hot enough. No, actually, I'm incredibly hot. If I wasn't me and I would saw this face walking down the street." He pointed at himself. "I would say, look at that hot guy right there. I want to date myself."

Armand smiles at Daniel whilst still focusing the camera his lovers way. "My my we woke up on the wrong side of the king sized bed tonight." Pausing to study him. "Would you rather take the pictures?"

Whatever Daniel’s intention was--to elicit sympathy or to make an accusation? perhaps both--Armand merely tilted his head curiously. The way he experienced what might be called sleep had changed over the centuries. He didn’t remember the mortal experience at all. 

Moreover, observing a mortal feel the need for sleep did very little to help him understand it. His own vampiric instincts got in the way, interpreting the physical symptoms as weakness, like a predator seeing an injured animal stray from the pack.

[Mouth] Lestat didn't have to wait too long for Daniel to let himself into the apartment and he was pleased to discover that he was alone. He qlwas quick to rush at him, pressing him against the wall and covering his mouth. "Shhh." he whispered in his ear with a small smile. "I'll take my hand away but don't scream! I'll happily drain your neighbours but I doubt you want that type of trouble next door." He paused for a moment longer before he slowly withdrew his hand but didn't step back yet. @thedevilsjournalist
