"Louis!" Stan shouted as he busted into Louis' room. Louis was still in bed covered by a mountain of blankets. It wasn't like him, so Stan got a little worried. "Why are you still in bed? It's a Saturday afternoon, you're usually up and out by now." Louis threw a pillow at him and said into his sheets," Go away." Stan made his way closer to his bed and asked," Come on, what's wrong? You haven't answered any of my calls for days." Stan said from the end of his bed, " I need your help. Since you and Harry are on speaking terms I thought we could-" Louis suddenly sat up and snapped at Stan yelling, " I am never giving that cunt the time of day again!" He said this as Will was walking by. "Why don't you ask Will for some help? He looks like bestowing over to Harry's for round two."
"Actually it's more like round six or seven. Hard to keep track these days. And I'm going to Harry's."
"Wow Will you finally found something you're good at."
"What?"
"Taking everyone I care about away from me. "
Will just ignored him and walked an told Stan to follow him. Before Stan left Louis, he said to him, "I'm gonna let you calm down. Get yourself together and I'll be back later." Louis just laid back down. Stan followed Will into his car.
"What was that about?"
"Long story short, me and Harry are a thing."
"Oh Louis isn't taking that very well. That explains all that."
"Yeah but whatever he's just jealous; as always."
Will began to drive to Harry's house and asked, "Why do you want to go to Harry's anyway?" Stan's face lit up, "Well I was hoping her that Harry could give me a few pointers with Gabby."
"Ahh Gabby, I've only talked to her a couple of times. But as little as I know of her I already know she's more than she seems."
"By that you mean?"
" She comes off as this aggressive, judgement girl but she's much more than that." Will explained.
"l'd love to actually talk to her."
"She is lovely." When Will said this, he smiled to himself not being able to let that smile leave his lips as he continued to think of Gabby. He didn't know her that well but he knew her enough. He felt comfortable around her and he felt like he could trust her.
They soon made their way to Harry's house. Will walked in without any announcement, "Harry love I'm here! I brought Stan so make yourself decent." Harry came to the door to the two wearing his usually type of outfit; an old band tee and skinny jeans. "Will!" Harry said as he welcomed him back with a hug. "And I see you've brought Stanley. What brings you here on this fine day?"
Harry said as he broke the hug leading the two to his living room. "Well, I'm gonna see Gabby tonight and I wanted a few pointers." As the the three sat on Harry's couch Will sang in a mocking tone, "Stan and Gabby sittin' in a tree!"
"Shut up! I just want to become friends with her."
"Yeah good friends," Will shot back winking suggestively. "But seriously I don't want to fuck things up with this one. There's something special about her." 'There's some things that you should know about her." Harry began, "She's different. Different in a good way. "
"Is that a bad thing?" Stan questioned.
Harry shook his head, "No not at all. She's more of an interesting different. The kind of interesting where you want to keep talking to her."
"Anything I shouldn't do?" Harry and Will looked at each other and back at Stan.
Will said, " Whatever you do, don't act stupid."
"Well it's a good thing I'm a genius." Stan said confidently to himself.
Harry laughed to himself, "But seriously, if you plan on acting like an idiot Gabby will not stand for it."
"But don't over-think this Stan; you're great," Harry said smiling warmly.
"I don't know I just have a good feeling about her."
Harry and will started talking about Louis and James while Stan blocked them out. He couldn't get Gabby off his mind. Time past and Will told Stan he'd give him a ride back to his house. Harry joined them, when they got there Stan insisted that Harry and Will stay behind and go to the party. Stan went to Louis' room to find him and James on his bed just talking and by the look on Louis' face he finally looked happy for once.
"Looks like someone cheered up." Stan said leaning on Louis' door. Louis always seems his happiest with James. "Hi Stan," James said. "Thanks to James I'm happier. How was Harry's? Did you get your needed information?" Louis said. Surprisingly he didn't cringe as Harry's names left his lips or call him some rude nickname. ' Wow James works wonders,' Stan thought to himself. "Yeah I think I know everything I need to know."
"Louis told me about your little friend," James said wiggling his eyebrows at him. Stan smiled in silence. Breaking the silence, Louis said, "Come on, Stan's love awaits him." The ride to the party felt like hours.
'Okay. Stan don't act like a jerk, just be you. Don't ask stupid questions. You got this,' Stan thought to himself.
They walked in to this large frat house filled with familiar faces to Stan. Most of the kids there were from college. He was greeted by one of his good friends, Niall. "Stan! You came!" Niall shouted over the noise of people and music. He made his way over to Stan saying, "I didn't think you'd come."
"I invited someone. That's okay right?" Niall looked around and back at Stan, "I don't think it's gonna make a difference." Stan looked at Niall as try started walking through the crowded halls, "What is this?" Stan asked.
"What?"
"I've been here for longer than five minutes and I still don't have a drink. You're slacking Horan."
"Just you wait," Niall started as he motioned Stan to the kitchen. "I got something good for you." Niall handed Stan a cup. Stan began drinking and looked up in disgust, "What the fuck was that?"
"I just mixed every liquor we had." Stan stared into the cup.
"Come on drink up." Niall insisted.
"Fuck it. I'll get drunk faster." Stan drank up and looked over his shoulder. He shot his head back to Niall, who was halfway on the other side of the room when he saw Gabby. 'Okay be cool.'
Gabby had her back against the counter with a drink in hand by herself. Stan never notice how much younger she looked. 'She must be at least 18. I mean she can't be that young.' Stan thought as he got closer to her.
Gabby scowled at the guys around her she felt their stupidity getting under her skin. "Can you do me a favor and shut the fuck up?" Gabby said bluntly interrupting one of the guys boasting about himself.
"Come on love, you know you love hearing about me." The guy said to her as he placed his hand under her chin making her look up at him. Gabby slapped his hand off if her, "Can you not!?" The guy put his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him. He came down to her level and said, "I don't think you know what you're turning down."
"I think you should get your hands off of her, she's not interested mate." Stan said calmly to the much larger guy. He looked at Gabby and back at Stan, " Why? Is this your little girlfriend?" "Actually I am," Gabby spoke up as she broke free from the strong grip he had on her, moving into stand arms. She looked at him and whispered a quiet, "Just go with it." Stan nodded, "That's right; hands off my girl." He said confidently before giving Gabby a kiss on the cheek.
"Whatever, I'll find myself another slut."
"Don't you ever call her a slut! You're lucky she even talked to you." The guy walked away while Stan said to Gabby, "Don't listen to him, you're not a slut."
"I don't really care what someone like that, thinks of me," Gabby said quietly.
"That's a good way of looking at it, he's a wanker. You don't need to hang out with guys like that."
"And what kind of guys should I hang out with?" she mused.
"You have a question for everything don't you? And since you are my 'girlfriend'," Stan said with air quotes, "I want you all to myself." He said softly pulling Gabby in for a hug. "Oh thank god my big strong boyfriend was here to save me." Gabby said in a joking tone looking up at Stan while being wrapped in his arms.
"Come on, let's cut the bullshit," Stan said leading Gabby by the arm. "You're not gonna make me dance, are you?"
"You have no choice," Stan demanded as they entered a large dark room filled with loud music that neither if them liked. "But I don't want to." Gabby pleaded. "Come on, like I said, you have no choice." Stan said. Gabby smiled at Stan's childishness. Stan guides her hips in a soft, slow, intimate way, "See? Not so bad, right?"
"I guess it could be worse."
Gabby was actually enjoying herself. 'Finally, someone who's not a total douche, someone who I'm actually happy to be around.' Gabby was in a happy physical state and also state of mind, finally. She felt happiness consume her when she was with Stan and she felt like her and Stan were the only two around in that loud frat house. Gabby's peaceful thoughts were soon interrupted by a glass falling and a shout. She looked back to find Will holding his face hunched over and Louis standing over him with rage filled eyes. Gabby ran over to Will. "Not again Lou," Gabby said while holding Will. "When he stops I will!" Louis shouted. Will looked up at Gabby from hunching over in pain and his eyes met Gabby's. She looked into his beautiful blue eyes and felt...sorrow. A feeling all too familiar with Gabby. "Louis I think you need to just let this go and move on."
Louis knew he's gone too far this time. He knew that Harry wasn't good for him and he knew that he was jealous because some how Harry wanted Will. Harry came her, joining Gabby in holding Will. Gabby has never seen Harry like this. His face was flushed and his worrying eyes almost filled with tears that pierced her. "Louis stop!" Stan shouted when he saw Louis, jealously rush through him, he looked like he was about to beat the shit out of Harry. Stan held Louis back, "Calm down. You don't want to start anything tonight."
"Where's James?" Louis asked. "I don't know come with me we can find him. Just calm down and walk away," Stan cooed. Louis froze and stared at the two holding Will. He watched as Harry held him close as Gabby patted his back. Gabby looked up at Louis, "Just forget about it." She said to him.
Louis and Stan walked away in search for James. "You started a lot of problems, you know that, right?" Gabby said honestly to Harry.
"I know I fucked up big time." Will looked up at them, " I'm sorry Harry."
"Don't you ever think it's your fault Sugarplum!" Gabby exclaimed using one of her many infamous pet names. Harry looked at her shocked with wide eyes.
"Don't look at me like that, you said it yourself, 'I fucked up big time.' Don't try to pull that innocent victim shit on me."
"I'm not trying to pull anything Gabby, I'm just trying to say that Will did play a part in this."
"Don't blame this on Will."
Gabby left the two. She loved Harry but at times like this, she couldn't stand him. She walked through a long hallway and up some stairs. Then went into the nearest room she could find.
Instead of finding a couple hooking up, she found James and Louis hugging it out again, and Stan watching patiently. "You okay, Louis?" Gabby asked. "Calmer but not okay." Louis answered in to James' shoulder they stopped hugging and James suggested, "Why don't we leave? Stan you still want to stay right?" He looked at Gabby and she nodded enthusiastically "Uh yeah." "Alright I'll see you guys around. Come on Lou." Louis walked out if the room with his head low and James' arm around him. Gabby walked out from the door frame, closing the door, and got closer to Stan. "I was actually having fun before." Gabby said inching her way to Stan. "Really? I think I know another way you could have fun."
"On the first date?! Stanley!"
"What?"
"Remember, you're my big strong boyfriend who saves me from those stupid twats." "
Oh how could i have forgotten?" She made her was even closer to Stan, now their faces almost touching. He leaned in for a kiss, she pecked his lips softly. He placed his hands on her hips bringing her closer and making himself go against the wall. " like I said only the first date, Stanley." Gabby pulled away and walked to the door. Stanley gave her a disappointed look, "What?" She turned around and came close again, giving him a kiss in the cheek.
"Just you wait."
