Hey there!

Thank you for the note, and I’m glad to say I’m officially back! I was moving around and without a stable computer for a few years, but I’m finally settled back in New England with a lovely new apartment and a very functioning, useful computer and stable internet connection! 

I’m pleased that I will be making posts regularly again,  and hopefully getting This Week in Science up & running before the end of my busy summer! [: 

Thanks to all who still follow me, and I’m excited to be back at science awareness and interacting with all of you lovely beings!

I will be working on updating all of my personal information, FAQs, and the page itself within the coming weeks. Feel free to submit any suggestions, questions, posts (and/or scientific information or news that you’d like to share with my audience), or just a friendly note. I’m looking forward to getting back on track.

23. Last kiss – Check, Please

Jack cradled Bitty’s face in his hands, tears streaming down the blond’s cheeks as he whispered, “Don’t do this, Jack. Please don’t do this.”

“I have to, Bittle.” The sound of his full last name from Jack’s lips once more, an outdated token of years when Bitty’s heart ached with something that could never be, ripped his heart from his chest and he pulled away, gritting his teeth and turning his face away from Jack’s, because he couldn’t see this. He shouldn’t see this.

“Bittle. Bitty, mon coeur, fuck.” Bitty could hear Jack’s voice thicken, and he turned back, wrapping his arms around Jack’s neck, sobbing as he pressed his mouth against Jack’s, his hand cradling the back of Jack’s head and fingers curling into the hair that always stood up when they woke up together in the mornings. Jack kissed back ferociously, arms wrapping around Bitty’s waist as if he would never, never, never let go.

And all too soon, Bitty, still crying, muscles stiff and unwilling, pulled himself from the heady contact with Jack. “I understand, I do, I do, sweetheart. I’m sorry,” he said, breaking down anew and feeling so tired with his tears.

Jack held him close for a few more moments, and then Bitty moved, and wiped his tears, and smiled. It was exactly the same smile he had given Jack at graduation before he turned away. It was exactly that smile, but there was no light to shine on them now.
