When River woke up the morning after the ball, she felt only slightly less exhausted than when she'd gone to sleep. She'd only just had enough energy to take off her jewelry and put it on her nightstand, before curling up in bed, falling asleep sometime later with her face buried into a tear-soaked pillow. Knowing she could use post-ball exhaustion as an excuse to skive off classes, she figured she might as well get it over with and cleaned herself up.

She got herself dressed and packed her books for the day--it was a Defense day, and she was, for once, not looking forward to it. Worry didn't begin to set in until she couldn't find her wand. After tearing apart her bed and her trunk, trying to find it, memories of the previous evening flashed through her mind. She remembered her fight with James Professor Smith...and she remembered kissing him, but...

Oh, bloody hell!

Gem perched on Alex's desk, her legs swinging, having absolutely no care for the fact she was rumpling two drawings and a science test. She smiled absently at the slightly wrinkled paper in her hand before glancing over at her mun as her computer made that noise again. 

"Talking to him then?" She asked with a smile. 

Alex shot her a glare from her cocoon of blankets and sweaters. "No comments from the Gallifreyan, thanks. What's that?"

"Just a letter." Gem said, hopping down and slipping said paper into her bag. 

"Since when do you get letters?" 

The mostly-Gallifreyan just scoffed and shot her mun a look, one that clearly said 'you don't know everything', before snatching a piece of paper from Alex's notebook and scribbling down an address in Texas and one in Spain with both her mun and the boy's names and sending it off.
