To say that Leo is out of his element would be the understatement of the year. He’d rather be anywhere than in this suite--adjusting the tie around his neck--itching for something more comfortable to wear--even though it seemed SHIELD spared little expense on the suit.
It just wasn’t his style.
Exhaling slowly, he finally made his way into the main room, and while the glaring light from the setting sun would typically grab his attention first--it was something else entirely that made him draw short.
He almost didn’t recognize her outside of a SHIELD uniform--even with her wings. A breathy chuckle escapes his lips at the sight of her--saying she was breathtaking seemed cliche--but strangely fitting.
Leo caught himself staring, dropping his attention to fixing his cuff links instead. It wasn’t until he glanced at Gemma again that he even noticed the necklace caught in her feathers--the soldier moving to fix it.
Once she spun on him-his hands flew into the air defensively--smug grin crossing his features. “You remember who you’re talking to, right? In my defense, it’s not like I mean to.” But he took a step back, clearing his throat. “You look---” Just for a moment his expression shifted, softened into something rarely seen, a genuine smile. “--amazing.” A pause. “But also really uncomfortable in that dress. Shame.” His head tilts to the right as he looks her over. “Blue is a good color for you.”
