Okay. So, which point in history are y'all referring to? August of 1619 when the first slavery ship arrived? The 200+ years slavery was legal? When women weren't aloud to vote or own land? When it was legal for a man to rape and beat his wife? When there were "Whites Only" signs up everywhere? When abortion was illegal? When child labor was legal? When women weren't getting hired BECAUSE they were women? When people weren't getting hired because they werent white men? When the KKK was accepted and supported nationwide? When it was acceptable to beat someone to death because they were black, and you wouldn't get in trouble for it? When women weren't allowed to speak because it wasn't their place because they were women? When families were getting spilt up because parents couldn't afford their children because jobs were scarce? When it was a "perfectly acceptable reason" to deny someone their rights if they weren't Christian, if they were colored, or if they weren't a man? When houses that black families lived in were getting shit thrown through the windows or set on fire, and the authorities didn't bother to look for the guilty party, BECAUSE IT WAS A BLACK FAMILY? When people first came to America and brought diseases and infected Native American tribes and were murdering them off, and invading their home lands? When gay marriage was illegal because there is this one religion that says no to it? What about just a few months ago when the white rich kid bought his way out of a brutal rape punishment? I mean, I can keep going, But which part of history are y'all referring to when y'all say #makeamericagreatagain ? Because in the history of America, if you were not white, were not straight, were not male, and were not Christian, America wasn't exactly "great."
