Romans 1:16 (NKJV) - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
If you love someone you would do anything for them right? Now imagine you are that someone. Give yourself the gift of everything you want
Derric Yuh Ndim
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I've been passionate about books since I was a teenager, and this is the space where I share the ones that connect with my heart and my everyday life.
Today I want to talk about a book I deeply related to. How many times have you walked into a party or a get-together and felt the room was just... heavy the moment you stepped in? How many times have you needed a nap after going to the grocery store or a regular day at work, even though you didn't do anything "physically exhausting"?
When you don't understand why that happens, it's easy to write it off as low energy or just being tired. This book helped me understand that it's actually the price of feeling deeply and being intuitive.
We're surrounded by information about emotional intelligence, managing emotions, and somatization. But this was the first time I'd ever heard feeling described as a function of the body, almost like a muscle you can train. Because feeling goes way beyond emotions: you can feel illness, textures, flavors, the energy of a space. And everyone experiences it differently. Stress, for example, shows up as back pain in some people, as trembling in others, as a fever in others, and some don't feel anything at all. Butterflies in your stomach and sweaty hands can be signs of being in love for some people, and signs of anxiety for others. Everyone's a whole world of feelings, and each feeling is its own universe.
What I loved most about this book is that every so often it asks you to stop reading and bring your attention to your body. That, for me, is what makes it truly beautiful. Because how often do we actually pay attention to our feet, the part of our body that grounds and roots us, while we're talking to someone or doing the dishes? We're so stuck in our heads that we forget our body is right there too, present, talking to us all the time.
I wholeheartedly recommend this book, especially if you've ever been told you're "too sensitive" and never quite understood why.
I ever since we moved out. I started to really believe in evil eye and i had one. Because today i studied some math a-and get this… i understand!!!
Also, its lowkey aesthetic
Do you believe that crystals have healing or other powers?
Yes, it's a real thing
Not seriously, but I like to think so
No, but they do have a placebo effect on some people
Nope, that's all made up
I'm not sure

Once someone asked God:
“if everything is already written in destiny, then why should I make a wish?”
God smiled and replied:
“maybe in some pages I have written 'as you wish'.”
