News of Kieran’s death was everywhere, and that unfortunately put the spotlight back on the lakewood six as well as Eli and Tina. Former friends and relatives of the murdered murderer.. everyone wanted to know what they thought about it, if they’d wanted it, if they’d done it... and Eli could understand why Emmett jumped on the opportunity to get out of town. Not that eli had even known about what’d happened until after it was over, and more people were dead. Part of him was relieved that the news had something else to focus on, but he felt guilty for the relief at emmett’s expense. All this and more led eli’s feet to emmett’s door, and though his knock was hesitant, it had purpose. Eli just wanted to know if he was alright. He waited with his hands in his pockets looking at the ground until someone answered the door.
