. A quick piece today in honour of George Floyd, Regis Korchinski-Paquet, Ahmaud Arbery, and the more black folks killed and brutalized with too little justice served. It is an extremely critical time for supporting one another, please allow those around you to have the power to magnify their message and break from silence. To stay quiet in fear is to be loud in ignorance . . Being active on social media is one way to engage with the community, but it’s important to take action that doesn’t just involve reposting company statements, campaigns, and photography. It is my responsibility to constantly grow my education, donate funds, and consistently be an ally. Most importantly: Please remember that black lives matter not just now, but have and always will. Please continue to have conversations about the acknowledgement of privilege—whether you are white or POC—, constantly speaking up for others, and finding new ways to enhance your advocacy . .
