Okay, so I’m a day late, but...happy birthday, @thefirststarinthesky​! I’m really sorry I couldn’t have this up yesterday -- I’m not entirely happy with how it turned out, but I know you really like this song, and...well, even if it’s not in my range really, I just had to sing it for you! I really had fun singing this, and I hope you like it. <33

Hi, guys! Today my friend @thefirststarinthesky and I are in Disney’s California Adventure, Bounding as our favorite superhero “Captains” — Captain Marvel and Captain America! This is Star’s first time at DCA, and it’s been a really awesome day! We got to meet Nick and Judy, Bo Peep, Elastigirl, Spiderman, Joy, Sadness, and both of our respective heroes, and we also were able to catch the Frozen show and ride the new Inside Out attraction, the Emotional Whirlwind! (As if by fate, our ride was accompanied by commentary by my favorite emotion, Disgust!)

The character meet-and-greets were all, without exception, incredible — Nick and Judy were practically fawning over Star when they heard it was her first time; Elastigirl was thrilled at the thought of teaming up with Captain Marvel; Captain America was a perfect gentlemen; Captain Marvel gave me a hard time for wearing a Captain America shirt; Spiderman went all shy when Star mentioned MJ; Joy and I played a delightful game of “step on a crack and you fall and break your back”; and sweetest of all, when Sadness arrived, I serenaded her with the saddest song I could think of, “When She Loved Me,” from Toy Story 2, and she gave me the sweetest hug and blew me so many soft, shy little kisses as I left.

My look is comprised of a navy blue Captain America shirt, navy blue leggings, a blue Padres baseball cap (the “p” stands for “Peggy” *firm nod*), American flag star earrings, black ankle boots, and a silver compass bracelet I got at the U.S.S. Midway Museum.

Heyyyy, guys! I’ve finally done the Disneybound I’m sure everyone has been waiting for me to do...Merida from Disney/Pixar’s Brave! Today @thefirststarinthesky and I went to Disneyland Park (for her, it’s her first time!), both channeling princesses. Star very much channeled Aurora, loving every ride and show that was full of magic and happy endings — I channeled Merida mainly by being loud and energetic. (Though as you can see, I got a bit smart-alec around Small World: I actually really like Small World, I just assumed it wouldn’t be as much Merida’s thing!! LOL!)

My look is comprised of my bell-sleeved and flowered teal dress, a teal shirt underneath, my gold-dyed oxfords, a black belt, and my silver medallion earrings — they really reminded me of the charm Eleanor gives Merida, and they even each have a blue bead that’s the same color as the will-o’-the-wisp!

Howdy, everyone! Today is my last day exploring the Disneyland Resort with my friend @thefirststarinthesky before she flies home to Australia, so I wore this Disneybound for the happiest emotion of them all, Joy from Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out! (Ma chere Star was Giselle from Enchanted.) We had such a fun day! We got to meet Mike (who was SO SCARED when I did my Roz impression — he ran and hid!!), Captain Jack Sparrow, Sadness, and of course Joy! Joy was absolutely over the moon when she saw me...we were total twinsies, as you can see! I also met another guest who decided to dress in an Inside Out-themed Bound, who was just as excited to see me as I was to see her! Our favorite rides of the day include Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, the Pixar Pal-A-Round, and It’s a Small World...and of course we had to take some pics at the Emotional Whirlwind, too!

My look is comprised of a sunny yellow skater dress, a bright blue velvet baseball cap, a rainbow beaded bracelet, a round blue Sadness ring, a rainbow smiley face button, and muted gold ballet flats (which I chose to represent the faint textured “shine” that comes off of Joy in her movie).

Happy Hogwarts Day, everyone!! In honor of this momentous day, September 1st, my longtime-online friend @thefirststarinthesky and I visited Universal Studios Hollywood, more specifically the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! This was Star’s first time and my second time, and we had a lot of fun hanging out together and enjoying the wonderful, “Potterful” ambience, dressed in “Potterbounds” for our Hogwarts houses. We also got to meet the cast of Shrek — Fiona, Puss, Shrek, and Donkey — and Donkey and I sang “I’m a Believer” together. LOL!

At Ollivanders, we both got wands: after a lot of thought, I settled on Sirius Black’s wand (I probably would’ve gone with Slughorn’s, but that one couldn’t be used to cast magic in the park), while Star chose Hermione’s. Here’s one of the spells I managed to cast, Locomotor Music Box!

My Slytherin look is comprised of black shorts, silver ballet flats, silver owl earrings, and a silver lightning bolt necklace. The flower crowns were Star’s idea, and — yeah, aren’t they just gorgeous? We got quite a few compliments...at one point I walked past the mirror in Gladrags Wizardwear and it even “complimented” (?) me on my “unusual ensemble!” I laughed so hard!

What is really bugging me right now is I haven’t seen a single person point out a lack of POC in The Good Dinosaur. White people didn’t become a ‘race’ until *about* 70,000 BC, yet the Good Dinosaur is set like, 60 million years ago (and even though the genus homo didn’t exist then), and Spot’s new family is freaking white as hell. While Spot (to me) looks like a Native American, which I’m alright with, it bothers me that he isn’t darker, seeing that the first people were from Africa (part 1)

where all or at the very least the huge majority are black, but neither Spot, or his family are. mutations for paler skin would have been a serious rarity, and they likely could have died due to a lack of new adaptations. The people who scream about historical accuracy haven’t said a word and it really pisses me off. I have given the ‘evolved’ dinosaurs a pass, along with their talking, human existence and things like that, but ignoring human race history is a disgrace.

I’m going to be very real right now: I didn’t expect a whole hell of a lot from a   movie where dinosaurs are farmers and ranchers. Let alone what the “race” of human beings living the same time as dinosaurs was.

I mean, I get what you’re saying, but at the same time, I personally don’t feel it’s that big a deal, nor did expect much from Pixar in the diversity department. As far as the “race” that Spot is, I saw it as “ambiguously brown”/brown but still white-coded. Honestly, it just really did’t bother me...

Also, to be honest, I’m okay with Spot being more or less white coded since he’s a feral child who acts as a “pet” to Arlo, so I’m very okay with him not being coded as a child of color...
