If bones lit like torches
It would make things MUCH more interesting! See a dark cave, explore. It's very dark. you feel for something, like a torch. "AHA!" A rough thing, long, straight, feels rough with a broken bit at the top! "Yes, this could work," you think, and reach for a match/lighter, and you light it. it struggles to catch, but that's to be expected from a damp, dark, cave torch. When it catches and you look at it, you gasp and throw it as far as you can. It wasn't a torch, but it was a rotted, broken bone instead!
