Update: Happy July! It's disgustingly hot outside so I will be indoors as much as possible and I encourage those who are enduring hideous weather to be safe.

The Forest: Moving Chapter 5 over as I type. A few changes being done on my end simply because of coding in four making options change/ giving me some different opportunities for the chapter. Big coding for 5 will take place Friday and over the weekend as I have it marked where I need to add code in for the most part already.

After that I will be fist fighting the stat page.

Cold Mountain and Have You Seen Me? are both similar to where they were a few days ago seeing as how I did an end of June update.

Quick morning update: Chapter 4 is fully moved into the correct version!! That means the heavy lifting with 5 will commence this week!

I finished moving it last night but was exhausted and passed out after finishing moving it over.

For everyone!! Or at least everyone from The Forest 😇

You said everyone you get everyone lmao. Nah it's fine I'll just do The Forest, but as a bonus I'll throw in Alder and Mathias.

Caius: Still keeping to the shadows and avoiding the crowds. He doesn't understand why people are congregating in this heat.

Alvise: Stripping down and swimming in the closest river. Does not care who sees him, congrats or apologies but it's too hot for him to care.

Amber: Has made a lovely shaded sitting area by a river and is sipping her beverage.

Alecto: Has sought refuge in Ambers sitting area by the river. She is melting and wondering why she couldn't have be cursed with the power to freeze things.

Alder: Is keeping himself busy with a fan in hand his shirt soaked in cold water.

Mathias: Is a puddle on the floor unfortunately. Praying for the sun to set.

What is each characters fav food/ what is their comfort food

The Forest

Amber- Potato soup is her comfort food. She loves soup regardless but this one reminds her of her mother, so it has a special place in her heart.

Alecto- Fruit tarts. She rarely has the time or ingredients to make them herself, but they are a comfort food for her.

Alvise- Cookies. He will say something like a roast, but really it's cookies because they remind him of his childhood. Fresh cookies to be exact he likes a soft cookie.

Caius- Cheese, He doesn't seek food for comfort. He really like cheese though.

Cold Mountain : pulled from character info so I'll add specifics.

Jodi- Homemade biscuits with Apple butter. Specifically her Moms biscuits. Yes there is a difference and no you cannot make them better. Apple butter is a recipe from her dads side of the family, but she will accept it from the farmers market.

J Davis- French fries dipped in ranch. Curly fries or steak fries. Will accept shoe string if the other two aren't available, do not give crinkle cut. Love a good house ranch if not it has to be buttermilk. (though most house ranches are buttermilk?)

Arturo- Torta Ahogada. Has not had it since moving this way and has considered going home to visit just so he can have it, because it would be well worth the drive and he would get to see his mom. He would not trust a single person in Raven Hill if they said they could make it for him.

James- Fried Catfish w/ coleslaw. A staple around his house growing up it's something James looks forward to having when he goes to his mothers house for dinner.

Beth- Peach Cobbler. Despite Beth's best efforts at baking she never quite picked it up, but she was able to learn to make a decent cobbler and it is something loved to do with her mom. She fondly remembers going to orchards with her mom to pick peaches for their cobblers as child. It's why it's her favorite now.

D Moore- Crab Cakes. Spending a lot of time up and down the coast growing up D Moore was never fond of seafood, but they did find crab cakes one summer and it became their saving grace. They don't eat them much now unless they are feeling down. Will always call it their favorite though because the memories tied to them.

M Dawes: Chicken and Dumpling. Daddy's Chicken and Dumplings to be precise. It technically is meemaw's chicken and dumpling's but There is just something special in the way their daddy makes them. M has tried to master making the dumplings but they aren't quite turning out the way they should so they just grab some Pillsbury biscuits and cut them up instead when they can't get it from home.

The Mine Voice: Pheasant. He doesn't have a reason, well he doesn't understand the sentiment behind. He just like it.

Have You Seen Me?

A- Cheese burger extra pickles with fries and a milkshake. More a comfort meal but whenever something goes wrong that is A's go to.

Beau- Blueberry pie. He loves blueberries ( and native plants really) has a few bushes of his. His nanny taught him how to make a blueberry pie, so when he has the time on a slow day he will play some comforting music, bake a pie, and plot the downfall of those who go against him. Relax.

Jessica- Biscuits and Gravy, loves fresh biscuits and sausage gravy. Its reminds her of waking up in the summer with her grandpa at the river.

Wyatt- Twizzlers and Cherry coke. Don't ask Wyatt to share the answer is no. Like to bite both ends off the twizzler and use it as straw then eat it.

If your characters had the choice, would they go back in time?

Choosing to answer this as a more personal choice and not a general back in time for each RO

Caius- He see's little point in going back when there is so much to do when you are willing to push forward.

Alvise- Yes, without a doubt yes. He would take her and he would run. His father was always too afraid of the spirits to chase after him, they could have made it.

Alecto- Yes. Maybe if she had just stayed where she was supposed to be nothing would have gone wrong and she would still be happy in her village. One moment can change everything right?

Amber- No, because no matter how many times she went back it would never change really. People would still make mistakes and the punishment would never really fit the crime... if there ever really was one.

Jodi- Yes, just to spend a little bit more time with her brother. She regrets not making more time for him, thinking he really would get better. She was a child then though...

Beth- No. she has her regrets, but she has made peace with what happened and is doing her best to build a life with what she has.

J Davis- No. They ran away to escape their past. Going back in time would only place them back somewhere they don't want to be.

M Dawes- Yes, They miss their best friend. there is so much that should have said so many things they should have just said yes to, but it's too late for that now...

D Moore- No. Maybe there would be some good if they did, but would it really outweigh the bad? Could they change anything and what would they lose? So much beauty was born from what lived through. If you aren't changing anything why go back? If there isn't anything worth reliving or anything worth risking then was there purpose in it?

TMV- Maybe, He might like a second chance to negotiate. He feels like might have be duped if he's being fully honest.

Arturo- No, anything that has happened in his past still has a chance to be fixed in the future so he finds it better to look forward instead of lingering in the what ifs.

James- Yes, sometimes... he doesn't like to admit it but late a night he wishes he could go back to before everything was fucked up and he and Beth were still sneaking out of their houses to meet up at the river on school nights. He loves his daughter and his career but he can't figure out when everything got so bad.

Beau- No, because the questions that he really wants the answers to are too far back for him to find. He wouldn't know where to begin. He doesn't like devoting time to a lost cause.

Jessica- Absolutely, She has so many question and an eye for detail. She could get the exactly what needs ( or so she thinks) if you just give her enough time.

Wyatt- No, Wyatt knows better than to wish to play with the bounds of time.

A- If only to have more time with the ones they love. A is sentimental that way.

Would the characters enjoy watching the night sky or sun set/rise with me?

Answering this for The Forest

Amber: Sunrise, it reminds her of her youth. It also helps ground her, to remind not all is lost as another day has come.

Alvise: Of these options Sunset, he might bring a snack or two and have a sunset picnic with you.

Alecto would also be sunrise, but because she is an early riser. She wouldn't seek you out, but if she knew you were up she would bring you a beverage and make small talk.

Caius: Night sky. It is his time, He is stronger until the stars and feels more attuned to himself. He finds beauty in the dark ness outside regardless but he feels free underneath the night sky in a way he cannot explain.

How artistic are your characters? Do they enjoy drawing/painting, music, do they play any instruments? Would they enjoy going to an art museum? (With me)

Alecto- Not very, sweet girl is mostly in the kitchen. Would love to go to an art museum.

Alvise- He can play 2 instruments, don't ask him to though.

Amber- She used to play something similar to the pan flute but hasn't picked up since her families passing. She can draw and will sketch plants she sees with a description, a practice she took up during her training.

Caius- He's never tried, he does enjoy the arts though. A interestingly human thing. Would love the museum.

Jodi- Has been known to sketch here and there but has never followed through on advancing her skills. She can sing though. Not much for an art museum, she would go if you were excited though.

D Moore- Photography, Painting, Pottery. The last two were more phases but still skills they have and could pick back up if they wanted to. Loves music and how it brings people together. Would Love going to the art museum

J Davis- Played Guitar for a bit, but left it behind when they ran away. Is rusty and doesn't want to admit it so they will not mention it to most people. More of a thrill seeking type but is down for low key type thing like the art museum especially if y'all can grab a bite to eat after.

M Dawes- Sings a little, played the fiddle until about age 16. All of their sibling play an instrument as well, it was a requirement from their mother up until they turned 16. Enjoys art and people interpretations on pieces, would prefer to go an traveling exhibit rather than something that is always there to be able to experience something new.

Beth- Does the recorder count? More outdoorsy but still appreciates the arts. Probably won't catch her at the museum though because finding a sitter would be hard and she already feels like she doesn't get enough time with Aubrey

Arturo- Music lover but is a writer and doesn't have much skill in the arts. Would prefer to take you to a concert or to a poetry event. Nothing against you.

TMV- No, He doesn't mind art but the idea of walking around while others try to interpret it isn't really his thing. Loved the arts in his times though. Was a skilled pianist, sometimes he misses the feeling of playing.

James- No, not big into arts. More of a sports guy. Loves the music he likes from the radio but that's about it. Has his outdoor activities. Little bit of river time and darts are more his speed.

Beau- Yes, Would love to go the Art Museum and van draw quite well. also enjoys using watercolors. A music lover though not skilled in an instrument, scheduling never allowed for that in his youth. Can carry a tune and will whistle while alone.

Jessica- No. She isn't very artsy overall. Might scrap book from time to time but even that she quits and maybe comes back to. Her passion is journalism.

Wyatt- No, It is that Wyatt doesn't enjoy the arts its that Wyatt doesn't enjoy the experience of public spaces. Wyatt enjoys low key events. As for artistic skill, it is mild but present. Enough that it can document various findings with adequate drawings.

A- Absolutely!!! As the ceramics teacher and sometimes Art 1 teacher it would be a bad look if A didn't want to go to the Art museum. Does have art skill and is very good. Turned a passion into a career.

Alecto would love Jones soda, they're more natural too. But my favourite soda isn't even from them. its from china and it's peach flavoured!! This has me thinking! What is their favorite flavor for sweets or favourite fruits if any? (For The Forest cast, I love all of your casts but that post will be too big or demanding so just them)

Alecto probably would love the Jones Sodas!

Caius- He has a certain fondness for dark chocolates, but he truly enjoys a good apple.

Alvise: Cookies all the way, he's a notorious cookie thief from the kitchen. Fruit he's a berry guy.

Amber: Not much of a sweet tooth. Fruit she isn't picky, but does enjoy plums and would say it's a top contender for favorite.

Alecto: Alecto loves sweets. Pastries like a danish or a strudel are her favorite. As for fruit her favorite fruit is a star fruit, but she also loves pink apples and peaches.
