This Michael Afton ass essay 😭
Y’all are always drawing Michael in AC/DC shirts but y’all don’t even know them like me and Mike do. Yeah I’m sure you all can name 5 songs, in fact you could probably name 10 due to how many of their hits are still played today. But I bet none of you have any idea that across all those hits you’ve heard there are two different singers and I also bet you can’t name the guitarist or his late brother
Even though one of Michael’s most direct narrative counterparts is a football player (Pete from Step Closer), I just cannot see that for him. 😭 But I can TOTALLY see him playing basketball and baseball when he was in high school. Baseball might be fitting because if he was a fan, maybe that’s where he got the name idea for Mike Schmidt from.
It’s mentioned that one of the reasons Pete played football was because it was such a good outlet for anger and frustration. And I don’t even think it’s just because it involves so much physical aggression as much as it is that sports, competition, and exercise is very cathartic.
As someone who played basketball and knows people who were obsessed basketballheads Michael was 100% one of those people I just feel it in my soul. I’m not even talking about the people who live and breathe it and watch ever game, no just the person who loves playing and you find them shooting just for fun. And baseball just works so well, I can’t explain why but I just know it. I think he liked the sports in general but also it was a good outlet for his turbulent emotions.
Also more extracurricular activities meant less time at home. He could do both. For a time I did basketball and softball at the same time. When I joined the kick line I stopped softball because it was just too much, but fuck it if he can find something else he likes he’d go for that too. Just not football. I don’t know why but it just does not work in my mind. Then again maybe I’m just biased because every football player I ever knew is the worst person you’ve ever met. If it’s not the sport he dislikes it would be the type of people he’d be forced to be around all the time LMFAOOO. The jocks. He can’t stand them.
The fact that Foxy’s hook has been shown multiple times to be sharp enough to pierce skin and cause injury drives me insane because that’s so easy to just. Not do. I guess Edwin hadn’t invented plastic yet.
Made a tweet a few days ago talking about how I find people not seeing Hudson as meant to represent Michael in some ways ridiculous and this morning I woke up to a bunch of FNAF fans having somehow found it and attacking me in the comments and qrts. None of these people follow me and that tweet had like three likes. When I got back into FNAF I made a conscious decision to not interact with FNAF twitter because I knew it would not be fit/good for me, but no, they bring THEIR bullshit to ME who is minding my own business.
Me and my mutual were on call the other night and I was telling them about how I think teenage Michael in the 80s would spend an hour at most styling his hair. They said “he punched a hole in the ozone layer.” I said “you know generation x is often credited as the ones who ruined everything, and I love the idea that the way they ruined the climate was with all the hairspray they used.”
I think Michael had so many jackets in the 80s and you just know one of them said something on it. I know for a fact one of them said “Mike” on it. 😭
