8.) The sun is out, and your muse has dropped their ice-cream. The ice cream truck is long gone now, but it’s fine because my muse is willing to share.
Time almost seemed to stand still. It was like a motion picture. For a moment, the world stopped moving, and then everything seemed to coast carefully in slow motion. Both of their eyes widened as they watched its descent. Nothing they could have done would have prevented such a tragedy. The ground just came at it too fast. And then it was over.
The two of them stared at the fallen ice-cream for a few seconds before either of them made a sound. And then Dorian looked up to find Zoe's face contorted into a mix of sorrow and horror. Her eyes matched his and her bottom lip began to quiver. But without missing a beat, Dorian handed over his own ice-cream cone.
"We can share." He said softly with a smile.
