The Grunts

The Grunts are moving’ on up! Buzz and Lyla were high school sweethearts that now are the parents to three children: Tank, Ripp, and Buck. However, paradise isn’t quite what Lyla thought it would be for her and her family.

Tank has always lived under the hard thumb of his father. Ripp does whatever he wants to do, which is usually what no one else is doing. Buck spends a lot of time wondering why his father never seems to notice him.

Ripp Grunt

I loved the three of us, and I was glad that we’d found each other. Life in Strangetown is a bit odd, the name really says it all. We were three outcast, I’d say Johnny more than anyone- he is green after all. Then you have Ophelia who doesn’t have parents and lives with her kooky Aunt Olive who may or may not be a serial killer.

But really, Johnny and Ophelia could probably get by without me. I know I couldn’t get by without them.

Ripp Grunt

It’s not like I could be mad, they were dating after all and had been for a while. Neither her aunt or his family liked each other, so they also didn’t get much time alone together.

Still not fun being the 3rd wheel though.

Ophelia: This isn’t a bad way to end the evening. Ripp, do you want to go to your place after? You know how my aunt Olive is..

Johnny: I told my folks I was staying at your place tonight, Ripp. I hope that’s alright.

Ripp: Yeah, my parents are out for the night. General Buzz has some conference for his new job and mom went too. It’s just Tank and Buck.

Johnny: Sounds like a perfect Saturday night.
