"Are you alright?"
Could've Gone Better | the-guardian-devil
Great job, Hannah, real great job! She yelled at herself mentally, racing down the streets of New York at a little past three-in-the-morning. It wasn't often she used her mutation, it wasn't often she mentioned it, and it wasn't often she told anyone about it. But of course, after a few drinks, she decided to do all three. What started as fun bets turned into a bar fight, and what turned into a bar fight turned into a chase downtown. Hannah reached up to wipe away the blood from her lip, she glancing over her shoulder as she saw the group of older men running after her. "Get back here, you mutated freak!" they yelled, which only made her run faster. You'd think they'd know better than to hit a girl, but she knew that those manners always went out the window as soon as they found out you were't human.
At least no one's questioning your ability to please a man.
Thank god for that!
theguardiandevil liked your post:If you or Matty hear anything about a prison break on the news later, please feel more than free to ignore it.
Matt she's swaying me from my POSITION OF JUSTICE
Thank you for the great music, Lou!
So according to my last post, I was suppose to update this blog of mine around November so I can have enough material for everyone to read (Oh the pressure that I put on myself), but I decided it would be fitting to actually start with things today.
I woke up this morning at around 8:00 thinking to enjoy the day of Barangay elections. For those people outside of the Philippines, it is currently a non-working holiday for us and pretend to vote for people who pretend to care about us (err I should stop here, this isn't exactly about my political views anyway). And as soon as I checked my Social Media accounts, I was surprised by status messages left and right and I couldn't believe it: Lou Reed passed away at the age of 71.
A lot of you people are thinking , and I can't blame you.. "Who the hell is Lou Reed? And why do a lot of people care about him?"
Well, in a nutshell, Mr. Reed (together with his band Velvet Underground) has been one of the key people in influencing avant garde mentality in music today. When Velevet Underground came out in the 60's, they were what you call a "commercial failure" and not a lot of people were digging the whole experimentation (well they were into experimentation, but I don't think it has anything to do with music). The weird thing was when the band wasn't together anymore, they suddenly built a cult following that to this day, music enthusiasts all over the world would still consider Lou Reed as one of the foundations of experimentation in music.
Well... I don't want this to be another history lesson so let me just share you some of my favorite Velvet Underground/Lou Reed songs:
"Venus in Furs"
"Sunday Morning"
"White Light/White Heat"
"Perfect Day"
What about you? What is your favorite music from Lou Reed?
To those who are not familiar with Velvet Underground or Lou Reed's songs, why don't you go ahead and search for his music online, who knows? You might pick up something you like along the way.
We'll miss you Lou, Thanks for the great music :)

Lost where I belong | Matt Murdock and Darcy Lewis drabble
The first test of this thing they have between them is on a Saturday night when Darcy longs to go on a real date. So far, all of their dates have been... something else entirely. Always intimate, or just casual and never too fancy.
She thinks the fanciest she ever got for him was that first night when she cooked him lasagna.
The first test of this thing they have comes when he stumbles in late and she's curled up on his couch but springing up like a puppy seeing their master come home. If she had a tail it would be wagging.
"Go home, Darcy."
If she had a tail it would slowly lower between her legs. Her ears would droop. She'd whimper and whine.
But she isn't a puppy, she's a startled girl who doesn't expect the sharp edge to his voice.
"Oh.. I.. I had a surprise for you-"
"I'm just.. really tired, is all," his voice is softer but the way he walks is a quick bee line through his memorized apartment to his bathroom. She isn't stupid though. He doesn't use his cane because he has a limp. He uses it because he can't see. So when she catches him stumbling slightly she is suddenly determined to figure out why.
"What happened?" she is stubborn and she is proud and she has a hard time being told no when she is determined enough for a yes, and Matt knows this. He is gripping the sink tightly when she approaches from behind and he knows she won't leave until he explains or shows her or yells but...
He doesn't do any of those things. He doesn't have to. Darcy pushes his shirt up for him, gets a show from the bruises she sees, gets an explanation from the red and purple welts swelling across his muscles.
The first test of this thing they have between them is how he reacts when she begins to take control of this situation. He is begrudgingly obedient as she cleans him up, as she holds cool packs of ice to each bruise for the remainder of that Saturday night...
And she doesn't ask why or how or what.
She just sits and waits for his anger and frustration to melt away with the ice and when she leaves he thinks maybe she left her heart behind in the kiss she gives him because his chest suddenly feels fuller and heavier and despite the ache of his body he sleeps well in his deprivation chamber that night, thinking of her kiss and her patience and her devotion.
I'm getting married in the morning | Darcy Lewis and Matt Murdock Drabble
Marriage takes commitment, and it takes work, and it takes patience and it takes forever to happen because Matt Murdock is as late as a white rabbit to his own damned wedding. Darcy is sweating so bad that she has a whole box of kleenex used up to stuff up under her armpits and keep from ruining the dress with her perspiration.
Marriage takes commitment and she is committed to kicking his ass when he shows up.
Marriage takes work and she is pacing and working on her angry speech she is going to give him when he shows his dumb face.
Marriage takes patience and she will patiently wait for her father to chew Matt out before she gets her turn.
"He's here!" her brother pop his head in and he grins while smacking on his gum. Darcy's father pops him lightly in the mouth to make him spit it out and then shoos him away. Her sister plucks the kleenex from her armpits and then the organ music starts.
That is her cue but she is worried she won't be smiling pretty as she moves down the aisle, she worries her anger will get the best of her and make her look ferocious instead. Luckily, the whisper from her father to 'smile' has her relaxing enough to do as much. She avoids looking at the back of the man waiting for her up at the altar.
Instead she looks to the crowd of people... and something starts to stand out to her.
Tony Stark looks like he was sweating as badly as her and she swears when he grins he has a busted lip. Steve Rogers, sitting a row up, has a slowly fading bruise under his right eye. Thor smiles like an idiot at her but she spots his hammer at his feet and she was pretty sure he said he wasn't bringing that thing...
Then she makes it to Matt's side and he turns toward her and she gasps.
"Matthew," she whispers sharply, as he grins with his busted lip, black eye peeking out from under his dark glasses, and cut up cheek. Her father narrows his eyes at Matt when he gives her away and then Matthew leans in to kiss her cheek before they continue to the ceremony.
"You wanted your best friends at the wedding so I had to help them out of a bind, babe," and he lifts a hand to cup her jaw and stroke her cheek a moment before they get back to the nuptials. Her breath hitches as the touch.
Marriage takes commitment, and hard work, and patience, and it lasts forever. She knows she has reason to still be mad but now she can't think of any reason to hold it against him. He was committed to making this the best day of her life, so much so that he jumped in on an Avenger fight just to end it quicker, and with the patience of a man willing to withstand a busted lip on his wedding day he did this and this is the sort of thing Darcy knows she will have to expect forever.
This is what it means to marry Matt Murdock. To marry the Daredevil.
