Stopping by Woods || Open RP
Saturday. Wendla knew what she should be doing. She should be starting on one of the many projects or papers that she knew would be due in the coming week, after all, Saturdays were her only free days during the week. That wasn't what she was going to do though. Since the holidays had ended and she'd returned to school, Wendla felt stir crazy. Sitting all day in classes and then through most of her Sundays in church was too much, she wasn't going to spend her entire Saturday behind here desk. Rather, she rose early before her parents were awake, dressed herself, and pulled on her coat and boots.
Outside, the cold wind battered her face, but Wendla didn't mind. She pulled her phone from her pocket as she began walking and opened twitter, letting her friends know that she would be going for a walk in the woods, incase anyone wanted to join her. As soon as it had been posted, she returned her phone to her pocket and continued walking. The trees had been bare for weeks, but they hadn't seen their first snow of the winter yet. That was odd to her. She was sure that all of the kids were dying for a snow day. She knew she was, eager to spend her free time like she was today, walking through the woods and along the bank of the river, or, perhaps with her friends.
