8. When creating the characters for your WIP, what came first to you?
it’s not so much a WIP as a “plan-to-write” but who cares Well since it’s set in the past, there are only a few canon characters to go with, so I had to create a bunch of OCs to further develop the story. The first thing I needed was someone who knew Gaius from before he became Gaius, as well as someone who’d take a kind of advisor role to him in the early days of Taurus. Thus Kohei was born.
9. Who is your favourite character to write?
Wingul. He usually comes easily to me especially when it involves making him suffer woops
20. What’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?
I’m not sure, I don’t consciously think of tips to follow. Like, I read writing tips posts and archive them for future reference, but I’m not like thinking about them when I write (only when I get stuck on something and go looking for tips).
21. What’s a common writing tip that you mostly ignore?
Those that present things as absolute, like “never use adverbs,” “never start a sentence with ‘and’ or ‘but’,“ “don’t use the passive voice” etc. English isn’t my first language, so I don’t try to worry too much about style and just use grammar and words when it suits my needs. If adverbs come to me more easily I’m gonna use them, you know. Otherwise I’d never write anything. (Also it’s my job to teach English grammar so I kinda like using stuff like the past perfect or the passive voice lol).
22. How many projects do you usually have going at once?
Fractured Lives, which hasn’t been updated since February ;A;
The Tales Big Bang fic, which is almost ¼ done but progressing slowly when it should be a priority.
A big pre-game GaiWin series I really really want to write (and I’ve already written some bits here and there but not enough to post anything)
That geography of Auj Oule essay thing I started in spring.
I also want to do some one-shots (maybe with prompts or smth) but I don’t dare start anything bc I have all the other stuff going on.
And then you have to add all my non-fanfic projects like translations, writing down the Xillia game scripts, trying to draw a bit, and, well. You know. Work. I only have limited free time v_v
