It’s a wrap! The Hunger Games Series is finally over but I can’t still move on. On the first day of screening, friend and I watched the Mockingjay Part 2. Before The screening I felt a little bit nervous and sad thinking that this will be the last movie franchise of the series.
I’m a fan of movie-tie-in series such as Harry Potter, Divergent Series, and Percy Jackson. In 2012, I watched the first movie installment of the The Hunger Games and I was really hooked by it. The characters, the plot and the serious tone of the film were all amazing. After watching it, I decided to start reading the whole series and I really enjoyed it. The series has several points. First, feminism - Katniss shows that even a woman can be a leader and and at the same time a loving person to her family. Second, Poverty - the peaple of Panem cannot afford to have enough food while the rich people in capitol waste the food they have. It tells us to be aware to the reality that not everyone is lucky to have in our tables so we better not to waste it. And third, Sacrifice - nowadays, some people are so selfish. Just thinking of themselves without reservation to others or even to their family. Katniss is teaches us to sacrifice even ourselves for the one we love. So for every year, I am waiting for the next showing of the other parts of the movie.
From the start of Mockingjay 2 until the last part of it was so intense. Every second of it is worth watching. Its also good that they added some scenes that made the audience laugh. But the scene that stand out for me the most is when the Katniss kissed Peeta to calm him down. I think that was the most romantic thing I’ve ever seen in a film. It looks so real and genuine for both of them. The movie is so complete because it has suspense, comedy, and love. Plus it teaches us to lead, fight our rights, forgive, give value and protect our love ones.
One thing that I also noticed is Josh Hutcherson playing Peeta Mellark. Damn it! He is so great! He nailed it! All I can say is he deserves an award for his performance.
Until now the scenes from the movie are still replying in my mind. And I wanna watch it again and again until I memorize every moment of it.
