...is balancing grief, raising his children, and working in a high-level position at his family company

...has not been in any relationships since his wife's death, apart from meaningless one-night stands

...has been far more impatient and harsh lately, worrying his older brother Baelor and prompting him to drag Maekar to a private nightclub after a particularly difficult week

...hides into a private booth wanting to be left alone just to be interrupted by a rookie stripper whom he believes was paid by Baelor

...finds her lack of dancing skills quite amusing (since his brother had said he would get him "the best"), but lets her do what she was paid for just to get Baelor out of his way (or at least that is what he tells himself)

...is also feeling drained by the lack of a social life and feels like she is missing out

...despite everything, refuses to be intimidated into resigning (as happened to young teachers before her) and continues to use "unconventional" (aka non archaic) methods to teach the children

...is Aegon's (Egg) favorite teacher and well liked by most of the younger students (whom are known for hating all the other teachers)

...knows that most of the students come from very wealthy family but isn't intimidated by it (an also doesn't really care)

...is invited to her best friend's birthday/bachelorette party at a private nightclub e goes wanting to feel like herself again

…at one point gets separated from her group and ends up in a booth where a white-haired man is alone looking miserable (despite being quite handsome)

…hated the way everyone fawned over Reader just because she was the daughter of this renowned orthopedic surgeon (despite admiring the man himself)

…used to butt heads with Reader and give her a hard time whenever he could just for the love of the game (or maybe because he liked seeing her annoyed face)

…would never admit that he had a crush on her especially because he also envied her. everybody (him included) expected her to follow in her father's footsteps and since one day she would also fill his shoes she never had to put any real effort during med school

…never really saw her again after his residency began, only hearing about her through his colleagues from time to time until he stopped paying attention

…carried the weight of her father's expectations since childhood

…despite wanting to become a doctor, orthopedic surgery was never her call but she was set on enduring it to please her father and because it was what everyone expected of her

…hated Brendon and the fact he was set on becoming one of those stupid ortho bros that were always surrounding her father (but deep down also liked their bickering at some point it became the only reason she still attended med school)

…felt completely miserable during her orthopedics residency but held on until she had a burnout and nearly took her own life; she then decided she would no longer live up to her father's expectations and would pursue her own career

…was cut off by her father who refused to accept it and did everything he could to make her life harder

…still stood her ground and went to England to became a pediatrician anyway because she loved working with kids

…is glad to be the new peds doctor at PTMC even though she could've been working at a better hospital (her father made sure that no one else would hire her after she returned to the U.S. and that was the only place that did)

or where Brendon and Reader meet again and realize the rivalry between them could have been something else (but they still bicker a lot)

don't feel so all alone I found someone of my own

this morning i was listening to cal smith's version of i've found someone of my own and who who popped into my mind? yes, the 30-second man brendon park

something where Brendon and Reader dated in the past and were head over heels for each other. anyone who saw them knew they’d end up married with the perfect life. but at some point they realize that they wouldn't be really happy together (something about different views on what meant to have a good life) and decide to break up. neither of them wanted it but they know they would end up resenting and hating each other and life would be unbearable if they stayed together.

the breakup is hard, but over time both heal in their own way. they don't see each other again until the day the Reader shows up at the ER with her husband and sons (who had been playing in a old ass treehouse that collapsed, resulting in a few broken bones) and Brendon is called down

no reconnection, no getting back together, they're both happy(or at least pretty content) with their current life but theres definitely uneasy feelings and a loooooooot of bittersweet angst

this song is actually great for any mutual breakup situation, especially when theyre happy in a new relationship but still have feelings for each other, despite knowing they aren't right for one another

yesterday I came across the song great white shark by johnny hollow and immediately thought of our very own park the shark

I can't think of anything specific right now but maybe something with dom/sub dynamics, secret relationship, power imbalance, toxic relationship between brendon and obsessed!resident!reader? idk

...is pissed off because he doesn't understand why Reader (who always seemed to dislike him) would risk herself for him, only to refuse his help and end up in his ER with injuries he could have treated

❓ the whys

although I find myself constantly blessed with a mind fertile enough to entertain itself, I was not given the gift of committing my daydreams into words in a way that pleases anyone other than myself

meaning: sometimes I have some great fic ideas (or so i convince myself) that I can't really do anything with since I lack the writing skills

that’s why I thought that tossing my ideas in the open could be a great(and faster) way to see them turn into something more than just a daydream while also helping writers who are looking for suggestions and requests
