Why I No Longer Support DSP and His Current Endeavors Part 2
I've decide instead of choosing specific instances and moments as to why I don't support DSP but to instead just give broader reasons as to why.
Let me start out as to the biggest reason as to why I no longer support DSP. Phil has no respect for his fans at all. Phil does not care what his fans think, he does not care about his fans' opinions, and he does not care about his fans' advice. Phil will say and do whatever he wants on his channel and doesn't care if it offends you. All he wants is for to watch his videos, fill his wallet, and suck his dick when he wishes you to. If you try to complain, if you try to recommend advice, if you even so much as STATE something negative, he will insult you and block you. If you have Adblock and he's not getting paid for your view, you will be blocked. Phil claims to be about entertaining/informing you but that's only a secondary objective of his, this was evidenced by when he began to block people from his Twitch.tv streams if they used Adblock. Someone who truly wanted to entertain/inform you wouldn't truly care, but no, Phil cares, he cares enough to block you cause you decided that you wanted to enjoy his content without interruption.
Going further into what I said before about Phil not caring about his fans' opinions, Phil doesn't give a single fuck about anyone's opinion that isn't his own. Take recently, when Phil bitched on Twitter about how his Earthbound views were low, and then began to blame games like Minecraft and Angry Birds for taking away his views, instead of how shitty he treats his fans. Phil basically insulted everyone who likes Minecraft/Angry Birds/Happy Wheels and claimed that they all enjoyed repetitive crap and has no taste in video games. So if you enjoy Minecraft or Angry Birds, Phil says fuck you and your taste in video games is shit. And we all know that Phil's taste in video games is so god damn impeccable that he can make such judgments. And what's better is that when people tried to oppose what Phil said he insulted them and moved on. Here are the pictures of him being a jackass on Twitter.
Not only does Phil not give a damn about his fans' opinions, but at this point he's all about the money. Ever since Phil had started Youtube as his career he been slowly talking more and more about views. At this point it seems as though you can't stop hearing about his views. Not only has he been discussing his views more (which is how he gets paid), it has been proven that many who move to Twitch.tv see an income boost especially when they also put their streams on Youtube. Why you might ask? Well Twitch.tv enables you to put an ad every half hour/hour (I forget which one), and because he gets paid by ads instead of by views, he gets even more revenue due to people seeing more ads. This explains also why he blocks people who use Adblock, because they don't view the ads and those are the only way DSP gets and money from Twitch. Now this could just be nothing more than a coincidence but do you truly believed he just switched over to direct capture because enough fans wanted it and then moved to Twitch at the exact same time and didn't know those benefits. I believe DSP finally looked into the benefits of direct capture and Twitch.tv and when he discovered it was an opportunity to make more money, he took it.
There are some more criticisms for Phil I could give but in all honesty I was use to them as a viewer of his videos long ago. Those criticisms aren't why I don't support Phil anymore however, the ones I mentioned above are. At this point I don't think I'll ever go back to being a viewer of DSP, I have no hope that'd he would ever change for the better and go back to the old DSP that I loved to watch. But you know what? I don't need him to go back to the old DSP, because I can just watch his old videos on his darksydephil channel. I don't need to be subscribed to DSPGaming to still enjoy Phil's content, I can just watch RedDeadDSP, or DarksydephillFFXIII or DSPStreetFighter or THEKINGOFHATEHD or in other words A CHANNEL PHIL CAN'T MAKE MONEY OFF OF.
If I could get a trend starting to 'revolt' against the new Darksydephil it would be this, I'd want to see a massive spike in subs and views for all the channels shown above, I'd like to see all the channels Phil doesn't get paid for to have a sudden spike in viewership to show Phil that we like his content, but not his attitude. Do I believe this will happen, not in a million years, but it's what I'd like to see.
To me, Phil isn't the Darksydephil I once knew, the Darksydephil that played Heavy Rain, that played Street Fighter 4, that did the Friend Request Ridicules I so loved is dead. Darksydephil died with Phil's previous job. All that's left is DSP, a manchild that no longer cares about his content, but only how full his wallet is.
To conclude all I can say is this, I will miss Darksydephil, and fuck you DSP for killing him.
