If you ever wanted to eat a plateful of bread pudding, try the Apple Pancake from the Original Pancake House in Kalihi. Oven baked, topped with apple and glazed with Korintji cinnamon, it’s custard like texture almost melts in your mouth. The one thing you will need though is time - when I ordered this signature item, they told me it would take 45 minutes to make (it took half that time). Why would anyone make this a signature with such a long wait time is beyond my comprehension. #TheLateLatePostWithElectricBamboo - Finally got to try the Steak Roll at Teppanyaki Farmer on Friday after my workout. After about a 30 minute wait in line and a little more for pickup (the Lanai actually closed by the time I got it) I got something that seemed so familiar, yet different all the same. Those who used to go to Tae’s will know what I mean. I do plan to come back, because a lot of people were ordering it with an egg on top, and that looked delectable. #LoneWolfAndGrub

Had a department lunch at Harbor Restaurant earlier this week - The Ahi Tuna Melt was pretty good, but the Chowder Bowl, done up French Onion style was my favorite part of my meal. Been having a lot of noodle soups lately. Tried the Duck Noodle from Aiea Chop Suey, which is supposed to be their thing.
