I’m listening to @williamkentkrueger’s audio novella #thelevee, narrated by @jdjacksonvo, courtesy of @librofm. Inspired by the Faulkner novella, “The Old Man,” albeit with a more positive resolution than Faulkner’s story, “The Levee” is a classic man vs nature tale set in 1927, during the epic flooding of ‘Old Man River,’ the great Mississippi.
