After the debacle with the now Queen of Asgard, King Caspian X was in need of a wife. One that would remain faithful to him. One that he could mold and would please him but also, one that would not plague him for his travels. He needed a companion that could hold a decent conversation, that had a brain and that could give him the heirs he needed.
It seemed like a tall order and he had decided to go against princesses for other kingdoms after what happened. He wanted a lady of his court but they were all too young, too old, too devious or entirely too boring. Sometimes he thought he'd never find one.
Until he heard of Lady katherine's niece from one of his lovers--he had decided to drop all of his lovers once he wedded. He would expect mild obedience from his wife but full commitment and he was ready to do the same. Now, until he found auch paragon of virtue he was going to make the best out of his singlehood.
The girl in question was young, but not a child. She seemed to have a mind of her own and had rejected multiole suitors. Rumor had it she liked to read, that she wasnted to be a physician such as his parents--dead parebts, attacked by pirates. It wouldn't hurt to meet them he supposed and the next morning he sent a letter to her aunt, requesting an audience to discuss a matter regarding her niece. He also clarified he wanted the lady in question to be present.
Once he made it to the home and was escorted inside, the beauty of the young woman promised this could be a better idea than originally expected.
"Goodday ladies. What I've come to propose is very simple. I'm in need of a wife and I believe you are in need of some freedom, if rumors in court are correct." Caspian was usually far more subtlr and prone to court women, men, partners, allies and foes but recent events still had him off balance and he figured a simple, straightforward conversation would get this point accross faster.
"I propose you become my wife. You'll be Queen and will have access to anything you wish--within reason of course. I would onyl request 2 things from you. If you are interested in what I offer of course."
