Hi, is there any specific reason that we're required to follow you and bellarkesupernova to join the Literati Network? I'd love to join, but I'm trying to keep my dashboard manageable by not following too many people. That and a lot of your posts aren't Literati related.

Hello! I completely understand, and I can hopefully ease your mind in a couple of ways. (: Firstly, Kara and I started this network because we weren’t seeing any literati on our dash, and when we do we totally freak out. Part of the network’s purpose will be to find more literati blogs and have more literati to reblog and post, since there’s a lack of it at the moment (at least for us). That’s why you haven’t seen much literati on my blog personally, along with the fact that my account was deleted by Tumblr accidentally about a month ago so I had to restart. 

Secondly, joining a network does imply following the admins and (sometimes although we are not requiring it but encouraging it within ours) following the other members. Not only for the purpose of sharing work, etc., but also because in a network it’s like a little group of friends who will get to know each other and a follow helps that process. We do each have a clear tagging system if you’d like to blacklist any specifics though.
