oh, this one it was definitely the moment at the party when Pippa realizes how her “friends” treated Hecate. I wrote that scene first, actually, and then had to build a whole fckn fic around it to make sense, lol. I think “Get out” were the first words I wrote for it, and everything just spiraled out of control from there.

ooh, this one’s a bit tougher to remember, because the process of writing this took so long. But I think it was a combination of Hecate telling ghost stories that popped into my head, as well as the need for them to have a real conversation about their feelings plus the desire to Hecate go all badass over saving Pippa that sort of melded into this monstrosity. Also, I really wanted a moment for Hecate where she was allowed to just... have feelings and not be pressured to share them or confront them. So that moment when she tells Pippa she can’t, and Pippa says, “That’s absolutely okay”—that was a pretty big moment for me in writing this one.
