I once saw a todler in a park call a goose a "Bad doggy." My point being, imagine Rickon doing this and what would be Jon's reaction,

          first of all, this is the most adorable thing and thank you for sharing it with me! i believe Jon’s initial reaction would be to laugh — not as to mock, because, by the time Rickon is born, he’s well used to little siblings and the way they think at a certain age, but actual genuine + joyful laughter — exactly, because it’s so cute! he’d correct him, then, and explain/ point out the differences between a dog and a goose; simple things like feathers vs. fur, snout vs. beak, paws vs. wings. AND. he would definitely teach Rickon to not mess with geese, because they are nothing like the sweet ducklings, and probably tell him that even he and Robb don’t start trouble with them.

He picked the boy off his feet and up into his arms, holding him tightly against his chest. Two heads full of reddish-brown curls the very same color rested together as they caught a moment of calm while around them, Christmas music played on and voices chattered warmly and excitedly, the scents of mouthwatering food wafting through the air.

“Happy Christmas, baby brother,” Robb finally murmured and turned his head to press a kiss to Rickon’s temple. “I love you so much, don’t ever forget that.”

A FOND smile curled on Brandon’s lips as he reached down to ruffle the Tully hair of his youngest nephew. The boy was still little more than a p u p, yet he was a tenacious thing, much as Brandon had been at that age. ❝ Aye, if you think that little pony of yours can keep up,❞ he teased. ❝ Run and tell your father, then. I’ll not have it said I absconded with you. Again.❞ He laughed as he spoke; he remembered well the words Cat had for him when he’d last returned with the boy from a ride in the Wolfswood. He’d had to concede it would have saved a deal of worry if he’d told her first - and had it not been so very close to nightfall. But Cat was fiercely protective of her children, and the fact that he had eventually returned Rickon in one piece seemed to count for little. ❝ Your mother might HAVE MY HEAD otherwise,❞ he added, and though he chased the words with a playful wink, he suspected the boy knew as well as him that it wasn’t entirely out of the question that she w o u l d.

It had been days now, and Robb knew that it couldn’t go on like this.

Ever since Father, Sansa and Arya had left and had taken a good chunk of the household with them, Winterfell had become more quiet than he had ever seen it, in an unsettling way that made the hairs on the back of his neck stand up. Doubtlessly what had happened to Bran played its part as well, even though Maester Luwin had reassured them just this morning that Bran would live. But with Mother keeping herself locked away by his bedside, her desperation seemed to seep into the walls and permeate every room in the stronghold, so that laughter had become rare and voices were muted.

Robb hated it.

And it wasn’t that he blamed his little brother for being confused and scared, but by the Gods, after taking up not just the duties of Father as well as of Mother as long as she wasn’t coming out of that room, he needed some time to himself.

“You can’t sleep here, Rickon, you know you can’t.”
