Review: LASplash Lip Couture Liquid Lipstick

So, when it comes to the world of lipstick, the hot thing right now is liquid lipsticks that dry matte. They’re EVERYWHERE. They were made popular with the introduction of Lime Crime’s lippies and ever since, different companies have been starting their own lines, such as Kat Von D or Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics. Ever since the downfall of Lime Crime began, indie makeup companies are striking while the iron is hot and are starting to heavily advertise their own liquid lipsticks. The most popular of these brands, at the moment, is LASplash.

The package arrived rather quickly (I paid $5 for express shipping !!!) and I immediately put it on. My first impression is that this lipstick does exactly what it advertises: it goes on liquid, dries matte, is waterproof, and takes some manpower to get off. 

The only time I needed to reapply after I put it on was after I had eaten something extremely greasy. The other edge of my lips was fine but the inner edge had been taken off. The first time I reapplied I put it all the way around my lips, which was a complete mistake. After awhile, the lipstick started to crust and become gross. The second time I reapplied after wearing it for a while, I just gently dabbed at the areas that needed color and I no longer had this problem. 

I really like the color I picked. The name is Ghoulish, which is the second batch of OG Ghoulish. The colors were changed and, after a public outcry, they brought the first color back as well. I prefer my color; instead of being a light gray, there is a rose tint to it. 

Overall, I really liked this lipstick and I would definitely buy it again. While it is long lasting and beautiful, I think my only qualms are the flaking and the smell. The smell wasn’t necessarily gross but it wasn’t something I would want my lipsticks to smell like, which is why I gave it 4.5 stars.

I would love to know how to go about planting an all year indoor herb garden, or which herbs that is possible for? :)

First off, there are some great pics you can find, particularly with Ikea Hack that have herb indoor gardens. Like here for instance. It doesn't sound like this was part of your ask, but thought I'd include it. ;) Also, I think it's best to get pots with good drainage, otherwise you might overwater and rot out your roots.

Indoor gardens are hard. Single plants have difficulties but gardens are really hard. You'll need to find a window that has good direct sunlight... but can still be insulated to be kept warm, so the plants aren't feeling the cold seeping in from the outside. Make sure that all your plants get the sunlight. That's why a garden can be difficult-- takes more room. Some herbs need less light, some need more. So make sure that you do some research there. If you don't have a window with direct sunlight, you can TRY supplementing indirect sun with a grow light. Also pay attention to how much they need to be watered. Most will need watering every 2-3 days. This information can be found on the back of seed packets. Most will need nutrient rich potting soil. I find it's good to mix half from your outside dirt, half potting soil. Just my thoughts, some do all potting. You can grow from seedlings... but the plants I've had that last longest are established herbs that I've bought from Lowes or Home Depot or private gardeners. Also, pay attention to any zones they have listed. If it's 7+ that means it need a LOT more heat, because it's meant for climates in the South. Lower numbers can survive frosts.

As for some herbs, here are some of my favs. They're the ones I prefer because they come back every year, have lived for multiple years, are hardy, and survive frosts and me not water as much as I should. (Granted these grow outside, but it's not a bad track record.) My favs are: Sage, rosemary, oregano, St. Johns wort, dill, thyme, fennel. Not only are they all good (except St John Wort) for cooking, but they are also great for magical use. And of course, growing them yourself makes them more potent.

I have started many herbs inside, and the transition outside hasn't faired well. But I've had success starting eucalyptus, lavender, catnip, cilantro, basil, and I can't remember the others. (I tried like 20+ herbs last year... only dill and fennel have survived beyond a couple of months.)

TBH, outdoor gardens are way easier. IMO. But I do know that there can be complications with outdoors, not least of which is that you don't have a yard. I would pick 3-5 herbs that will do everything you need/want, and add more as those become more hardy and you get the rhythm of how to care for them.

Hi there! I just saw the ask where an individual "found out how bad it is to keep outdoor cats". I do not think it is alright to leave your cats outside all day. I do not think letting just any cat outside is okay. But what we do with our cats the persistently want to be outside is perimeter train them. We walk them on a leash or if we have a strong bond, just together, and tell them where they can and cannot go. I'd like to hear why you believe having an outdoor/indoor cat is wrong humanely.

I'm getting tired of answering the same questions over and over,look through our blog before asking something folks.

When did you first find out you were a god spouse? Ever since I can remember I have those half awake dreams about being wisked away by an elf or Fae or Demi god of some kind. I thought it was just wishful thinking... But a few years ago I woke in the middle of the night and felt a presence in the room. I knew exactly where he/she was on the ceiling above me and I got very sexual. I know what it was saying to me even though I didn't hear a voice. I thought it was a ghost. But maybe not?

I first knew that Oisin was romantically interested in me three years ago.  I had been working closely with him for about 8-9 years (though for most of that I thought He was the Horned God, and even after I as starting to suspect he was a different entity I still called Him the Horned God for bit while I figured out how I felt about the idea of unknown entities).  I had been a solitary practitioner my whole life, but when I went to college I was selected to join an insular group of practitioners.  One of the former members (who was something of a mentor for the group at the time) told me that there was a god constantly with me, I told her that I knew that and who the god was, and she said “He’s all up in your cool-aid” and then preceded to talk about how clear it was He adored me.  I didn’t take this at face value right away, this woman was prone to making pronouncements such as this to cause drama and excitement, but it planted a seed that I had never thought of, so I traveled to the Otherworlds, and met with Oisin in one of our favorite spots, and had a long talk with Him.  From that moment on I knew that I would never love another the way I loved Him. 

It’s hard to tell who your visitor might be just from your descriptions.  Its entirely possible that there is Someone out there with an interest in you. But its hard to say from just one instance. It might have been a ghost, maybe it was a local spirit, maybe it was a spirit just passing through.  I would advise you to wait and see if you get another such visitation, and then try to discern if it is the same entity or someone else.  And from there try to figure out their intentions.
