Even within the darkness of his coffin, Rei could tell how much time had passed. It should be nearing his waking hour...or at least that’s what the knocking upon the coffin lid meant?

Rei paused at that thought, his eyes snapping open as he was awakened from his nap. “Now who could that be...” he wondered to himself with a groggy yawn before lifting the coffin lid a bit so he could peek outside. Koga and the Aoi twins have already taken their leave for the day, and today wasn’t a practice day for UNDEAD, so the identity of the visitor was a mystery to the vampire; he certainly wasn’t expecting any.

So, imagine Rei’s surprise to find Wataru there. And even more surprising to see was the tired look on his friend’s face.

“Hibiki-kun...? When did you...?” Rei was obviously surprised, considering Wataru had entered the club room without the usual fanfare, roses and doves. Thank goodness; Rei was spared from having to clean up the aftermath of such an entrance. “Goodness, you look really tired.” he said, to which he received a nod.

Wataru had asked permission to use his coffin, the gears in Rei’s mind was quick to put two and two together so he didn’t ask any more questions. Instead, he immediately hopped out of his coffin, having become well-rested from his nap.

“You may.” Rei said, giving his permission to his friend. “Had you not asked, Hibiki-kun, I would have suggested it to you myself!” But, before Wataru could get into the coffin, the vampire gave the pillow a quick fluffing as a hospitable gesture.

BEFORE MY MUSE DISAPPEARED, THEY GAVE YOURS A SERIES OF ‘OPEN WHEN’ LETTERS. SEND A SYMBOL TO READ THEM. ||Accepting|| @threadeddelinquent & @heromanvasco

Apparently Vasco had disappeared for some time and no one was really sure where he was. That guy most likely had gotten himself into trouble and got himself lost. It happens. Knowing his luck, his phone ran out of batteries so he was even more of a lost cause. 

Regardless, he just so happened to have left some letters for Kuro before he ran off to do some heroic deeds and it was now time for Kuro to open up one of the envelopes that read: 

[Read when you’re angry at the world]

Dear Kuro, 

You opened this up because you were angry at the world. I can only say this: 

Don’t become the bad guy. I don’t want to fight you. 

I’m not a real super hero of course, but that doesn’t mean that I have any less heroism than anyone else. I have to fight crime when I see it, and a friend going rogue is included in that. 

Don’t be the bad guy. You can be angry but don’t do bad things. If you are angry, remember the good things the world has to offer. It has chocolate milk, puppies, cats, and of course Super Heroes. Those are the things that I like of the world, and of course that includes you. 

Speaking of dogs, I took the liberty of adding a picture of Hanako. Isn’t she cute? I put a hood on her and it made her look like a tiger. I don’t think she liked it very much but it makes for a good picture, doesn’t it? 

I don’t know why you are upset, but I think it’s good to take a moment and remember the good things the world has to offer. If Hanako can’t help you, then I think you should go outside for a nice long run. Exercise always lifts my spirits up. I also look up pictures of Golden Retriever puppies!

Chocolate milk may help you too? I don’t know how to cheer you up and make things better since i’m probably not around if you had to open this letter but: Remember that there are many cute and fluffy things in the world. There are more puppies out there that need love. You have your good friends. You can be upset with the world, but you shouldn’t hate it because the world is what made it possible for us to be friends.

But it looks so fluffy, she couldn’t stop herself!

forgets to do the dishes - I feel like they both forget...a lot

stays up til 2 AM reading - Wataru on occasion when he’s doing scripts

sings in the shower - Wataru, loudly and obnoxiously. Rainbow Circus is then stuck in Souma’s head for the rest of the day

The letter is written on old parchment, kept in a thick envelope and sealed with deep red-colored wax that may give the impression that it’s been sealed in blood. But that’s impossible; Rei couldn’t stand blood...right?

The letter reads:

My dearest Wataru,

I suppose all the world has gone against you, and continues to do so; that’s why you are reading this letter, no? T’is my deepest regret that I can’t be with you at the time you needed me most; all I can offer you at the moment are my words, my thoughts and my heart.

Wataru, the star that persistently sparkles even in the darkest of nights. Yes, even those of mine; you have no idea how much you’ve brought brightness into my dire world, and for that, I’m truly grateful.

Now, in this trying time when the darkness threatens to consume your light, even as I am a creature of darkness, I do not wish to see your light to become extinguished. That is my hope.

Please, Wataru; never forget to take care of yourself. I do worry about you, since you tend to push yourself beyond your limits. Even a clown deserves the right to eat, to relax and rewind, to be happy. How else can they continue to provide happiness and cheer to others?

You are important, very important, to me. Please don’t ever, ever forget that.

Whenever you feel lonely, look to the night sky; I most certainly will be.
