Today is an exciting day for a certain Halcandran. The Thanksgiving feast he's been invited to join is a few days off, but Dark has accepted his offer to help prepare it, however reluctantly. This means that not only will he be aboard the Battleship Halberd early, but he'll be aboard it for several days. If someone had told him two months ago that the only price for getting an up-close-and-personal look at the most advanced piece of technology Pop Star has on it (besides his own ship) is a few days' worth of cooking, he'd have called them an absolute idiot.
Well, not out loud, but he would have thought it.
Regardless, he's finished packing a suitcase for his visit that, while small on the outside, is enchanted to have about four times more space on the inside than it should. He's filled this space with a digital tablet and pen that he can keep on his person for note-taking (he's sure he's bound to learn all kinds of interesting things about both the ship and its crew), several changes of clothes he doesn't mind getting a bit messy, an apron, some tomes he's in the middle of translating, a small array of potions for every day purposes, hygiene items, and his violin. He's well-prepared for both busy time and downtime.
Now comes the issue of actually getting on the Halberd itself. He can fly using magic, but he's limited in speed, height, and flight duration. He could teleport there, if he knew where it was at the moment, but that would drain a considerably large amount of his magic, both due to the distance and the fact he's never been there before. If he could fly the Lor beside it for just a minute or two, that would make the transition much easier. He stands before the control room's keyboard to send Dark a text message telling him as much.
[I can board the Halberd at any time, but I'll have to fly the Lor close to it for a minute so it's not too far for me to teleport. When you’re ready, can you give me the ship's current coordinates and the direction it's headed?]
