In other news that surprises absolutely no one, Troll Jesus is apparently also Trans Hacker Jesus. ~a Signless walk-in who rewatched The Matrix with my host last night and is having feelings about it
Neo, I... I'm not sure why you thought I would be a suitable replacement for you, but you left the future of humanity in the hands of some corrupted ex-Agent, who up until that point did nothing but try to kill you. I hope you knew what you were doing. The Oracle seemed to believe I was worthy of continuing on as The One in your stead, but I wasn't so sure. I wished that you could have helped me. Guided me.

(Here be Matrix Resurrections spoilers. Idk if you wanna tag that or not. Also this kind of turned into a review of the movie by someone who's in it. So, uh, sorry but also not sorry at all.)
So like I awakened as Trinity a few months ago but I didn't have any specific feelings about being her before Resurrections came out. I was like "okay, yeah, I'm yet another supportive deuteragonist who is adorably devoted to my Very Special protagonist partner, that's cool but it's not noteworthy and it doesn't tell me anything new about myself or my soul's journey."
But THEN I watched Resurrections and so much shit snapped into place.
That movie really felt like it was saying, directly to me, "You are not lesser for being the supportive one. Your love is inherently powerful. Your love strengthens those who you choose to give it to. And when you realize how much depends on you being your supportive and loving self, your own strength will fully unlock." And I realized that this is the lesson I'm supposed to take from that life. I mean obviously I won't acquire Neo's abilities in this life or anything but the lesson itself still does apply.
Also, even if you've never seen a Matrix movie before and don't plan to, uhhhhh PLEASE go watch Resurrections. It's so resonant to the experience of being (at least my classical, spiritual brand of) fictionkin.
I've been buzzing since I watched the movie. I have never felt more affirmed in my identity (past and present) by a movie in my life. 11/10, probably one of the most impactful movies I've seen in a while.
IT'S MATRIX RESURRECTION DAYYYY FUCK YES —Trinity
I don't think anybody else is kin from this source but if someone is, sorry about.... like everything I did ever. Im especially sorry to neo about trying to kill you. - Agent Smith
