Description: This is my first published attempt at a BaCC. It’s not intended as a plotty story, but rather just a fun distraction (form my plottier works) and gameplay documentation. I rarely do anything with the Maxis premades, so for this challenge, they act as my townies. Part of the fascination of a BaCC to me is its potential for sub-challenges, so those will likely be popping up here and there. At the time of writing this, the challenge is in its first week, so in quite the beginning stages.

Author: katrisims Link(s) to read: Table of contents at Dreamwidth Challenge: Apocalypse Challenge Themes: Maxis Match, Modern Warnings: There may be plotlines involving elements such as kidnap and (attempted) murder, and there’s occasional swearing. Nothing graphic. Description: Salahuddin Chamcha has a curious, lifelike dream, where he finds himself in a place called Strangetown. He makes himself a nice life, makes some friends and finds the love of his dream-life. And then, disaster strikes. Can Salahuddin and his family save Strangetown, or will the villains win the day?
Guest appearances by Marielle Hutchins (dicreasy), Cypress Vetinari (docnerd), Seth Jaypalan and Rodney Jalowitz (mzyra).
This is my attempt at the Apocalypse challenge and a spinoff to my Alphabet Legacy, The Bookacy Family Alphabet Adventures. However, it can be read independently if you wish; it suffices to know that Salahuddin Chamcha is the long time antagonist of the Legacy, and as the story begins, he is in jail. The challenge is still ongoing (actually, in the rather early stages), but due to real life responsibilities, an occasionally heavy load of plot as well as other challenges, it updates slowly.

Name: Silverton Lake BaCC Author: Hurricane Taylor / taylors-simblr Links: Here you go, from the beginning Challenge: Build A City (BaCC) with some additional rules from Maranatah, Didily-sims and myself Themes: Maxis Match, Modern, Frontier style (ish) Warnings: None. Only in game fighting. No pixel blur in my game, but I try to avoid nudity. Description: 7 sims try to create a new town. They have to camp out and build their homes from scratch, build up their town’s reputation and attract tourists, and try to bring some sort of economy to town. I play with a long age mod and extra challenges to make it so I don’t unlock everything too quickly. Generation 2 has just started becoming adults and the families are all still broke and business less. I don’t want the population to grow too quickly, but I am hoping to eventually get to the point where my hood looks like an actual liveable town. Highlights so far? I don’t want to give anything away, but there are plenty of cute toddlers to look at!
