A couple of pieces from the aftermath of Gael's death in the Risen War.
Edwin (@bluebrush09arts), Soliana (@rosexknight), and Boffin exhausted post-battle, looking on as she's taken away, the only remaining three of the original group (as Marius is still missing at this point) Boffin, Soliana, and temporary ally Caspian (Ry) toast to their fallen 'fearless leader', and say goodbye to Caspian as he returns home to his family.

While Tol'Minith celebrates the lifting of the siege, the party was in a less celebratory mood. Nonetheless, Edwin (@bluebrush09arts ) and Boffin get to have a good conversation on the way back to the inn, before they set out on their next set of trials.
Finished this just in time to post after this episode aired : been struggling to work on it a while. (still not over it)
The vampire Alistair has just struck Gael down and laid a heavy curse on her. Boffin makes a shaky last stand to delay him doing anything else to her, while Edwin prepares to overchannel some insanely powerful radiant magic to strike him.
