I'm going to have to drop Eve since I don't have a muse for her anymore. >: I still have another character here so I'm not leaving entirely!

It was late, and the bar had already been closed for...apparently a long time. Georgia was half asleep, head on her arms on the counter, empty glass still in her hand. She felt a gentle hand on her shoulder and slowly she raised her head, not realizing how close the other woman’s face was.

“Sweetie, it’s time to go~” she said softly with a smile.

Georgia nodded, eyes drooping, she leaned forward and planted a light kiss on the woman’s lips. Without a word, the sleepy redhead got up and wandered out of the bar.

It was a girl’s night in for Lyla and her best friend Eve

The two were just going to stay in and catch up. It had been some time since they had spoken, being wrapped up in their own personal affairs. Nothing changed though. When they got back in touch, it was like they had never been separated. Being around Eve again was refreshing-she was as lively as ever.

Lyla saved a bottle of wine just for the occasion and gave Eve the honor of opening it. It wasn’t too long after that that they’d been drunk… Really drunk. Geez… Eve seemed to be fine, for the most part, but Lyla had never drank this much before in her life. She felt dizzy, kind of sleepy, really happy-she couldn’t stop blushing. Was it the alcohol or was she embarrassed for being so drunk?Anytime she looked at Eve, she’d look down and start laughing. “Eeeeeeve…~” 

The pinkette closed her eyes and collapsed onto her best friend’s lap. When she opened them again, she was looking up at Eve’s smiling face. Why is she smiling? Is she enjoying this? Lyla just turned even redder and quickly threw her hands over her face. “You’re sooo beautiful, Eve….” Lyla removed her hands from her face, but her eyes were closed again. She looked like she was worried or disappointed about something? “I bet every man wants to be with you, and every girl wants to be you…” She paused and mumbled,”…I know I do…”

Suddenly, Lyla jerked up from Eve’s lap and looked at her long and hard and really, really drunk and next thing she knew… She was kissing her best friend. It felt… warm, happy, safe-even familiar in it’s own strange way. When their lips parted, Lyla opened her eyes and looked at Eve. “I-I’m sorry… I guess… I just got carried away…”

PROPOSAL

For you, Eve, I would make a proposal very special.

I would take you out for a beautiful picnic on the nicest day in spring. We’d go somewhere nice in a secluded spot by a lake or the ocean. I’d make plenty of food and strawberry short cakes and when we were done with eating, we’d have wine together. Just as the sun was setting and you got tired and wanted to go home, as you’d get up I’d let you know there was still one more thing that we needed to do. From the bottom of the picnic basket, I’d bring up a deep red silk cloth, a cloth the color of love. I would adjust myself so that I was on one knee and unwrap the cloth to reveal a blue feather.

“Eve, you are the most stunning, outgoing, lively person I’ve ever met. You are my best friend and the very reason I try every single day to make myself a better person. You are so amazing, that even being able to sit next to you, to utter a word to you-it feels like I don’t even deserve it from you because you’re a goddess and when I’m with you, I have to wonder if I’m in Heaven or still on Earth. I don’t understand why you’d love a person like me but you do and I’ll never take your love for granted… I know I’m rambling but Eve, what I’m trying to say is… Will you let me stay dreaming with you forever? Will you marry me?”
