HANNAH THE KILLERS NEW OWER
On October 27, 2024 just_.a.scream also known as the creator of Hannah the Killer posted to her story saying she will be giving away her character Hannah. In doing so she wanted to give an equal opportunity and chance for everyone who participated by allowing others volunteer through an ask box. Who ever gets picked or chosen at the end of the event will become the new owner of Hannah the Killer.
While it sounds simple this small event actually ended up confusing and surprising many Hannah the killer fans to this day.
What fans didn’t expect was to be left in the dark on who the new owner was was the owner In November of 2024, the new owner was privately chosen and decided two years ago in November of 2024. Which seems surprising to many fans who were left in the dark by creator after her never publicly announcing who it was. new owner the results come off as a surprise to many
Important things to consider when giving away a creation and choosing a new owner;
Mutual understanding and trust between both creator and owner when it comes to decisions, intentions, and situations.
Mutual respect when it comes to the creators boundaries and wishes for both the creator and their creation.

I know this comes off as a surprise to a lot of you, being left in the dark for so long. I honestly kind of thought Scream was going to be the one to announce it publicly, but to my own surprise, she never did. Then again, I never asked her if she was going to or not. She might have been busy and never got the chance. I don't really mind being the one to announce it. I just kind of wish we had talked about it more, so I would be prepared when coming out with this news. Never less I couldn’t be more grateful and excited to be the one to announce it.
Before moving on, I am aware many of you have questions and concerns regarding past events that have been left unanswered. I will try my best to address and answer as many as I possibly can and help clear the air so we all can move on.
Is Scream okay and where is she?
I will like to start this off by saying Scream is okay.
I can admit I did panic when I woke up to her dead account. but eventually, I remembered Scream and I did have a conversation prior to her leaving.
She considered staying, but at the same time, she didn't want to be reminded of all the drama and she wasn't sure if she would feel comfortable enough to talk about it. Most of the drama and bad memories involved her character Hannah.
Scream confirmed at the time of the drama that she was trying to portray Hannah as an adult in those drawings. While she was still figuring out Hannah's adult design and what she would look like. Which is not canonically correct considering it has been updated since, nonetheless, Scream is disgusted in most if not all her old artwork. Most of which was made when she was in middle school or early high school.
[ These situations aren't uncommon in fandom spaces, especially considering how artists sexualized many of the characters that are supposed to be portrayed as minors in the fandom drawing them in sexual positions, clothing, and so on. This should be addressed more as a fandom issue for all to think about for what fans portrayed in their work is something that is originally fed to them by other content they had consumed and is becoming increasingly more normalized in media. A similar thing had happened to Proxy and many others the only difference being Proxy wasn’t called out and attacked for it like Scream was. ]
The “ship” in question between Jane Richardson and Hannah was false. A lot of fans who grew up in the Creepypasta still struggle with telling Jane Richardson and Jane Arkensaw a part often times putting both under the same label of “Jane the Killer” this also isn’t helped by artists constantly mixing the two up or even mixing them together completely which is upsetting towards the creators. The Jane in question that Scream was shipping Hannah with is supposed to be Jane Everlasting [Arkensaw] who is around the same age as Hannah in the lore. This is a very common mistake for artists to draw Jane arkensaw with Jane Richardson appearance and transverse.
Once again this drama was started by fans and could have been avoided if they had just had a conversation with Scream about the whole situation. instead of putting her on public display and calling her a terrible person. She’s wasn’t playing innocent she was scared and uncomfortable. Because she was put her in a difficult position where anything she could have said would be seen in a bad manner. Before anyone goes saying well she should have known better I don’t wanna hear it.
She. already. hated. her. old. art. prior. to. the. Drama. You don’t solve anything by putting someone on public display, your not giving them a solution, or advice, or anything your just making it harder for them to address the situation and making them feel worse. Anyway moving on,
Scream didn't want to stay in the Creepypasta fandom anymore due to it being toxic. She wasn't a fan of people constantly harassing each other and accusations. She was tired of people accusing Hannah of being a copy of Nina or other characters when she wasn't. She was annoyed and upset about fans constantly reposting her old art due to her being ashamed of it.
Along the lines, the fanbase had ruined Creepypasta and Hannah to her, a character she once loved to show her creativity through was turned into something that she regretted making.
In the end, Scream didn’t want her character to die out. She still wanted her character, Hannah, to thrive and be successful. She knew Hannah was loved by many and had so much more potential. So she gave her to someone else to keep alive.
Leaving the Creepypasta community was hard for Scream considering she still loves many of the Creepypasta characters and had a lot of fun with the friends she made along the way many of which made her happy. Most of her fanbase and past content being associated with Creepypasta. She thought of an alternative solution other than her leaving she could give another character of hers more attention. As we can see this didn’t happen, instead she left the fandom and the internet in a whole.
𝐌𝐘 𝐀𝐃𝐕𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐒𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐌 [she already knows all this]
I don’t blame scream for wanting to leave, she is allowed to stay if she wants but she should never feel forced/pressure to stay or do anything she doesn’t want to. If she stays it didn’t mean Creepypasta would have to still be her main fandom that many others are also apart of different fandoms apart from Creepypasta. She wasn’t wrong for feeling the way she did, but I assured her that making content and being a content creator isn’t about how popular you are or gaining anything. It’s about creating content and doing what you love what makes you happy.
𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐆𝐄 Scream, you were one of my closest online friends, and while we didn’t get to properly say goodbye, I want you to know we are always here for you and that we can never see you as annoying. You are kind, you are caring, and you are empathetic. They might call you sensitive, but you are strong in your own ways and have your own potential.
Did I buy/bribe Scream into giving me Hannah? No.
Do I plan on redesigning Hannah? Yes but not drastically. I am redoing her age chart which is something Scream was struggling with, but other then that I’m just expanding her wardrobe.
Is it true I’m making a comic on Hannah back story? Yes. This project was in works prior while Scream was still around and she was excited to see some of the fonts and panels we had picked out for the comic.
Do I plan on rewriting Hannah’s story? Yes, but not drastically. I’m expanding on Hannah’s story and lore. The main biggest change is probably renaming the story. Anyway, what I will be adding, Translations where needed in the story so the paragraphs aren’t left feeling incomplete, Making Hannah the main focus of the story instead of her seeming like side character, Characters dynamics, giving the other characters in the story more of a description and depth, Characters development, expanding on Hannah and Janes background, going more into the theme of Tension and Thrill, and possibly more if needed. [ this has been in the works for over 6 months now I believe ]
Can I still use the old adult design even if it’s not canon anymore? I would advice against it, one because it is seen in a bad light, two I have ownership of Hannah in a whole no matter what design and three it probably would only lead to more problematical situations if you do use it.
When did the drama take place? A couple of years ago hence why It is seen as past drama for now it is resolved and put to sleep.
Is it true Raven Sexualized Hannah? Raven didn’t draw Hannah in a sexual way, the outfit Hannah was drawn in was mostly appropriate, the only problem was the lingerie stockings. Which are made to be perceived in a sexual manner this was NOT Ravens intention for she never was a fan of sexual content and probably didn’t know. However that type of clothing is shown on other characters in the fandom who are minors such as Judge Angels who is 15 years old which is painting it to be normalized when it should not be. Raven and Proxy both have fallen victim to this without knowing the piece of clothing was supposed to be seen in a sexual way.
if the drama is presented to be in the past why did you still it bring it up? It was relevant to the reason of why Scream left and her feeling discomfort, the drama was displayed publicly but like in most dramas in the Creepypasta fandom never officially addressed to have been closed or resolved leaving many fans and viewers with outdated information and possibly uninformed.
