just dropping in to say how much i love your msr/ txf meta esp about Mulder. ive gone down a whole of absorbing all meta about txf as i fall in love with the show all over and it’s so beautiful to see nuanced analysis of mulder that isn’t “selfish! manipulative! undeserving!” that ive been seeing a lot. muldo is my CHILD and i will always defend how soft and emo and broken he is. s8 mulder was so lost and ungrounded and it’s so hard to be angry with his character’s actions when they’re acc so relatable

This was such a kind and thoughtful message, thank you so much I really appreciate it 🥺❤❤❤ And I absolutely agree, I will always defend him because even when he messes up, it's for a genuine reason, because he loves too much but has gone through so much that has left him broken with scars. He's definitely not selfish or undeserving; it's quite the opposite, that he is so selfless, a lot of what people interpret as selfishness is simply because he's traumatized by the loss of his sister and so desperate to see her again, that he forgets to prioritize other people and things. I see a little of myself in him, so I understand why he behaves the way he does.
